The Shimano CS-R8100 is the matching 12-speed cassette for the new Ultegra R8100 groupset. The advanced drivetrain is 100% focussed on performance and is a real revolution thanks to HYPERGLIDE+ technology. The smooth shifting of the ULTEGRA R8100 12-speed cassette lets you climb, sprint or roll without having to think about the next gear change. Larger teeth maximise drivetrain efficiency and are compatible with previous 11-speed freehub bodies. The cassette is available in 11-30T and 11-34T gradations.

HYPERGLIDE+ cassettes set new standards for shifting in off-road use thanks to seamless upshifts and downshifts across the entire gear range. The time has come for this technology to be used on road bikes too. Shifting is now possible even when exerting maximum effort on climbs or in a direct duel with an opponent. Technologies

SEIS SHIMANO ELECTRONIC INTELLIGENT SYSTEM

The innovative shifting technology of the SEIS is still based on the SHIMANO INDEX SYSTEM (SIS), whose outstanding shifting performance has proven itself over many years. The main difference between the systems is that the shifting process is no longer mechanical but electronic. This electronic shifting system has been extensively tested in recent years by several professional cyclists under all conceivable conditions, e.g. rain, mud, extreme cold, cobblestones and a combination of these factors. Shifting is done by simply pressing a button. No effort is required to change gear, which has clear advantages as the rider always has a firm grip on the handlebars and can concentrate on riding without being distracted by changing gear. The shifting system enables precise and effortless shifting in all situations, even with cold hands or when the rider is completely exhausted. The shifting performance can also no longer be affected by dirty or stretched cables, as the shift signal is transmitted electronically. The operating buttons work in a similar way to mechanical dual control levers, making it easy to get used to the SEIS.

E-Tube
The E-Tube platform offers optimum flexibility. E-Tube transmits interactive signals and supplies power to all parts via "plug & play" connections. E-Tube is resistant to corrosion, expansion and frost and guarantees low maintenance. And the SMPCE1 establishes the connection between PC and components to update the firmware. Digital devices stay up to date by updating the firmware and offer better function.

Shimano Shadow RD
With its sophisticated technology, the SHADOW rear derailleur from SHIMANO is particularly suitable for a more aggressive riding style. The extremely minimised profile brings with it a number of advances. Thanks to its flat design and single-bias construction, the rear derailleur does not hit the chainstay even in the roughest conditions. The derailleur works cleanly and quietly.
