A good torque wrench is an essential tool for the assembly, repair and maintenance of your bike which is why it shouldn‘t be missing from your workshop – no matter whether you’re working on a road bike, an MTB, a gravel or a trekking bike. Especially when it comes to carbon frames and components, compliance with the torque specified by the manufacturer (in Newton metres → Nm) is of crucial importance for your safety. This ensures that the material is not overloaded and that the connection is firm enough, but not too tight. As the German saying goes: after tight comes loose!
