Syncros Duncan SL AERO CFT
One of the bike's most innovative features is the patented new Syncros Duncan SL Aero CFT. The innovative seatpost not only ensures a more comfortable ride on rougher surfaces, but also ensures that you can apply maximum power to the pedals on light gravel or paved paths, as you are not lifted out of the saddle. The front load-bearing part made of carbon fiber, which consists of two parts, bends when the road gets bumpy and thus ensures that you stay in the saddle.
The Syncros Campbell 20 Aero iL rear light is available separately. It is rechargeable via USB and is plugged directly into the Duncan SL Aero CFT seatpost, so that the aerodynamic profile is maintained. The light with COB LED has three operating modes, a continuous mode, a daytime mode and a nighttime mode. It offers a luminosity of 20 Lm for a safe ride in all conditions.
Lower seat stays
All Foil RC models have lower seat stays, which not only provides additional comfort for the rider, but also - very importantly for an aero bike - reduces drag. They are aligned at a 10-degree angle, directing the air flowing past into the rotating spokes. In aerodynamic tests, Scott found that this detail significantly improves aerodynamics when the bike is moving forward. The lower seat stays also conceal the disc brake callipers, which not only further reduces aerodynamic drag but also creates a clear design line.
oversized head tube
The generous head tube of the Foil RC not only allows fully integrated cable routing for the mechanical and electronic shifting, but also serves primarily as a fairing for the bike. It divides the oncoming air and reduces air resistance when the rider is riding forwards.
Lightweight design
After testing over 300 designs, SCOTT's engineers were able to develop a better carbon layup, reduce the number of carbon parts and joints used by 30% compared to the previous Foil and save weight with incredible attention to detail, such as the seat stays and seat clamp, without compromising stiffness.
