Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Highlights
Best-in-class efficiency
A superb stiffness-to-weight ratio and cleverly positioned aero tubes ensure faster climbs, explosive acceleration and unbeatable pedalling stiffness, so you can win the race.
Advanced aerodynamics
Here you can see the biggest improvements to the TCR compared to previous models. Every tube shape has been precisely analysed, engineered and tested to create an overall structure that offers significantly lower drag across a wider range of yaw angles.
Total control
A carbon fork provides torsional stiffness for crisp handling and precise steering, whilst the Giant wheelset with tubeless technology allows you to ride at lower tyre pressures, improving grip and reducing the risk of punctures.

Technologies
Advanced Composite Technology
GIANT’s high-performance carbon fibre is used to manufacture this special carbon frame material, which is woven and processed in-house and offers an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle is moulded as a single piece. The modified monocoque construction eliminates the outer woven composite layer. This reduces weight without compromising ride quality, stability or stiffness.
Compact Road Design
The Compact Road Design was introduced in the 1990s by GIANT in collaboration with the professional ONCE team and revolutionised the look of high-performance road bikes forever. A sloping top tube creates smaller front and rear triangles for a lighter, stiffer bike. It makes it easier for riders of all sizes to find the perfect fit.
PowerCore
The PowerCore bottom bracket shell is another feature that contributes to Giant’s high frame stiffness. The wide seat of the bottom bracket cups and the strong connection around the MegaDrive down tube increase frame stiffness.
OverDrive Aero
The D-shaped steerer tube and matching spacers are located within the head tube of the brand-new Propel range, offering an extremely aerodynamic, easier-to-maintain system of internally routed brake and gear cables.
Tubeless System
Fewer punctures. Better traction. Lower rolling resistance. GIANT’s Tubeless System makes fitting easier and ensures extra riding enjoyment.
