With the 4th generation Performance CX motor including Smart System, we have elegantly integrated Bosch's currently most powerful drive unit with 85 Nm torque and large 750 Wh Powertube battery into the frame. Using the Bosch Mini Remote in conjunction with the Bosch System Controller integrated into the top tube, you can easily select between four available riding modes. The result is a very clean cockpit and you can concentrate fully on the trail. For the suspension, our product managers rely entirely on Fox parts from the Performance Elite range. The Fox 38 with FIT GRIP2 cartridge and the Float X shock with 2-position lever have the same wide range of adjustment options as the Factory series suspension parts. The suspension can really be tuned to suit all riding styles and rider weights and brings control and composure to the trail chase. In terms of shifting, we specify a mix of SRAM's NX and GX Eagle with a large 10-52 tooth cassette, which gives you precise shifting and extremely high reliability. To decelerate properly before the next berm, we rely on Magura's 4-piston MT5 brakes with 203 mm rotors, which not only have plenty of braking power but can also be finely controlled. On the 32 mm wide SUNringlé Düroc SD37 Expert system wheelset, we mount Maxxis' Assegai at the front and the Minion DHR II at the rear - one of THE tire combos in the enduro segment with grip en masse in all conditions. In terms of contact points, we rely on SDG's Thrice grip and the legendary Bel Air V3 MAX saddle. The coherent overall package is rounded off by the new SDG Tellis V2 dropper post and a classy Race Face Turbine R cockpit. DEFT 9.0 750 - conquer the enduro trails of this world!
The DEFT Family
DEFT means something like "skillful" or "nimble". And this was precisely the approach taken when developing a long-travel full-suspension bike with a motor. The bare key data of an E-Enduro with 170 mm travel, 29-inch wheels and full, cross-stable equipment for maximum trail fun doesn't sound like a nimble bike at first. But that's exactly what we've achieved: a bike with massive suspension travel, enormous reserves on fast, rough trails and yet playful handling when the going gets technical! Our DEFT is going to be a tough one!
The DEFT Frame
The DEFT frame is an absolute feast for the eyes and is technically equipped with the latest refinements. With 170 mm suspension travel at the front and rear, we not only offer a thoroughbred E-Enduro, but also enormous reserves on the trail and thus ensure a lot of riding fun. The cables and wires are routed completely through the headset for a clean look. It also has a block-lock function, which prevents consequential damage in the event of a fall. The wing-like overhang, which connects the top and down tube, not only scores points visually, but also offers an absolute highlight from a technical point of view. Both the carbon main frame and the Trunnion shock mount provide a great deal of stiffness and stability. As with the RENDER, the lower shock mount is also part of the rocker link, which gives the frame unique kinematics and particularly high rear-end stability. The 750 Wh battery is integrated into the down tube via a cartridge, which ensures quiet riding and a shake-free fit. The battery can be removed quickly and easily thanks to a rubberized cover that closes off the down tube. The battery can be charged without removing it using the charging socket on the seat tube. The rear derailleur is mounted on the new, cross-manufacturer standardized UDH hanger, and the speed sensor is elegantly integrated into the brake rotor and chainstay, making the classic spoke magnet a thing of the past.

Bosch - the smart system for e-bikes
At the start into the networked e-bike world, Bosch is equipping the top drive unit Performance line CX for the future. The well-known motor with a new connectivity is accompanied by Bosch's brand-new PowerTube 750 battery - for longer riding pleasure with a significantly increased range. The new smart system includes the new Mini Remote, as well as the system controller in the top tube of the frame and the new 4A Charger also the new eBike Flow app, from now on the center for customizing your e-bike! Thanks to the network, you can easily retrofit new functions or install updates "over-the-air". Of course, you can also track your activities and customize the riding modes. The retrofittable "ConnectModule" is intended to increase security, enabling new options for e-bike theft protection. For example, an acoustic alarm can be triggered in the event of an attempted theft, and the bike can also be tracked if it has been stolen. Further features are planned to promise more riding fun and safety with the smart system by Bosch.

Power on the hill
The maximum torque of 85 Nm has a noticeable effect on your riding behaviour when eMountain biking. The powerful motor enables rapid acceleration after tight turns and obstacles at a low cadence and facilitates starting up on the steepest of hills. For fast sprints, the motor also supports you at high cadence.
Intuitive handling
A mode for more focus: Specially designed for sporty use, eMTB mode offers you optimum control and intuitive handling, as you need to switch less between the different riding modes. With this clever function of the eMTB mode, technical sections can be mastered with confidence and obstacles such as root systems and rock gardens can be overcome by applying targeted pedal pressure with the Extended Boost. The Performance Line CX drive unit thus ensures even more riding enjoyment and a flow experience that sets the standard.

A personal riding experience

Enhancing the eBike
Use the eBike Flow app to download new features and updates for components such as the battery or motor and send them to your eBike via Bluetooth. That way it's always up to date and you get to enjoy more options.
Recording activities
Track your ride and fitness data as soon as you get started. If desired, the Activity Tracking for iPhone users can also sync all data automatically with Apple Health. When you take a break, the recording stops automatically.
Customising riding modes
Adjust the riding mode exactly to your needs: You can finely adjust the Eco, Tour, Sport and Turbo riding modes so that they offer you more support or consume less power.

System Controller
Minimalist, robust Control Unit
The System Controller is the Control Unit for eBikes with the smart system, reduced to the essentials. The deliberately limited number of functions and information facilitates a quick overview and is not distracting while riding. The System Controller is seamlessly integrated into the top tube – this gives the already robust companion additional protection, is hardly noticeable and is perfect for sporty tours and design-oriented eBike fans.
LED indicators
LEDs use different colors to indicate the riding mode as well as the battery charge level in 10 % steps.
Connected in the smart system
The System Controller makes your eBike smart – and is the interface for software updates.
Built into the top tube
The System Controller is hardly noticeable, made of sturdy material and protected from knocks and scratches.

Mini Remote

More keys offer more functions: with the Mini Remote you get practical features like the smart Push Assist and you can turn your eBike light on or off.

The small and lightweight charger is ideal for on-the-go charging and supplies the PowerTube 750 with the necessary energy in no time: It takes six hours to fully charge the battery, and just over two hours to charge it halfway. The perfect opportunity for a restful break along the way.
Geometry
It’s a really nice and fun bike. Everything works smoothly, and the bike is very well equipped for the price and feels amazing. The Fox suspension performs very well once properly adjusted. Looking forward to more rides on the trails!
This Radon Deft is really something if you’re riding rough terrain with steep descent and through rock garden this bike will not disappoint you its composure and long travel 170mm really boots your confidence no matter what is in front of you. Its really something so far completed 200km on trails and bike is still quite and composed while riding, its a joy to ride and push yourself and have fun 😎. Oh and Bosch CX 4 is enough power for technical climbs with my full gear at 96 kg.
Nachdem ich zuletzt vor knapp 12 Jahren mein letztes Radon besessen habe, bin ich wieder einmal angenehm überrascht, wie hochwertig die Verarbeitung ist. Da können sich einige große Player wirklich was abschneiden, wie ich meine. Es fährt sich für die Dimensionen (habs in Größe L gekauft) erstaunlich wendig und vermittelt zugleich einen sehr vertrauenserweckendes Gefühl im groben Geläuf. Das Fox Fahrwerk spricht sahnig an und die Maguras verrichten auch brav ihren Dienst (wobei ich gewichtsbedingt vorne auf eine 220er Scheibe wechseln werde). Bei der Montage im Werk dürfte das Bremskabel vorne geknickt worden sein - nach kurzer Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Service wurde mir auf meinen Wunsch noch am selben Tag eine neue Leitung samt Entlüftungskit geschickt - topp! Das einzige, was man bekritteln könnte ist der filigrane Ladestecker-Deckel sowie die Ladesteckerhaltung - beides schliesst nicht ordentlich ab bzw. hat ein wenig Spiel - das ist zB an meinem Orbea mit Shimano Motor besser gelöst.
Excellent enduro bike with outstanding stiffness, long range, and very playful, fun handling. The bike is much better and nicer than described.
Habe das Bike am 31.05.2025 in Bonn beim Megastore gekauft. Das Bike ist eigentlich ein Klasse Bike. Gut ausgestattet,sieh in echt sogar noch besser. Aber warum nur 4 Sterne !!! Es ist mein 2tes Radon Deft, und wieder ist der Laufradsatz die größte Schwachstelle des Bikes. Wenn man es dafür benutz wofür es gebaut wird, ist der Laufradsatz einfach nur schlichtweg schlecht. Nach 40km Speiche locker, und so war es auch bei meinem Vorgänger Deft. Es wird wohl wieder darauf hinaus laufen das ich mir den Hope Fortus 30 Laufradsatz kaufen werde, der er hält was er verspricht. Berater beim Megastore wie immer Top?? Gruß André
