This Litening AERO C:68X SLT teamline from Cube is a new item with paintwork imperfections. The carbon road bike has minor cosmetic flaws (paint damage to the down tube), which do not affect its functionality in any way.

For those who meticulously hone their performance in training, the Cube Litening AERO C:68X SLT is the perfect bike to ride on the big day. Its aerodynamic frame, made from C:68X® carbon, generates 30 per cent less drag and is fitted with Shimano Dura-Ace 2x12 Di2 components – for precise gear changes combined with powerful braking manoeuvres. Cube has also fitted this racing machine with a power metre. Its Streem Aero/Sprint 60/66 Vonoa wheelset from Newmen, featuring a flatter profile on the front wheel, is the epitome of first-class handling and incredible aerodynamics, even in strong winds.

Explosive acceleration and superb grip are the speciality of the 28 mm Continental Grand Prix 5000 tyres (tubeless-ready). Last but not least, the low overall weight and consistently high riding comfort contribute significantly to its outstanding performance – particularly over long distances. A racing machine for long breaks, hard changes of pace and that all-important final sprint!

FRAME CUBE Litening AERO C:68X SLT

UCI regulations set clear limits – but that is precisely where the challenge lies. With the Litening® AERO, Cube has made the lightweight carbon frame even more aerodynamic without breaching the regulations. This was made possible by a high-quality C:68X® composite material, extensive CFD simulations and wind tunnel tests under real-world conditions. The result: 30 % less drag and a UCI-compliant chassis which, together with the fork, stem, handlebars and seatpost, forms a seamlessly integrated, aerodynamically optimised yet comfortable race setup. Compatible with tyres up to 28 mm. But there’s one thing this bike loves above all else: speed – always full throttle, always on the limit.

Technologies

Advanced Twin Mold
CUBE’s Advanced Twin Mold process for the C:62®, C:68® and C:68X® carbon frames utilises two precision moulds. The first ensures a precise lay-up, whilst the second (the inner core) holds every single fibre in its intended position as the frame cures. The result is an incredibly light, rigid chassis with fibre density optimally tailored to high-stress nodes.

C:68X® Carbon Fibre Technology
CUBE’s entire expertise in carbon frame construction is embodied in the ultimate C:68X® carbon material. The secret behind it is the optimal blend of carbon fibres and resin-infused nanoparticles. And thanks to the precise Advanced Twin Mold manufacturing process, there is no need for bonded sleeves or inserts. C:68X – the new benchmark for light weight, stiffness and durability.

Full Internal Cable Routing
With full internal cable routing, cable clutter and exposed brake and gear cables are a thing of the past. CUBE has redesigned the frame and handlebars from the ground up so that all cables can run internally, ensuring they do not detract from the bike’s clean look and lines. This internal cable routing looks better, is more aerodynamic and protects the cables from damage, which in turn reduces the need for maintenance. Simply perfect!

UCI-compliant
Rules are rules – and they aren’t always meant to be broken, because a bike must meet certain criteria to be approved for a UCI race. Naturally, you’ll want to keep an eye on your performance data whilst cycling, which is why CUBE has developed a clean, unobtrusive mount for your Garmin device. This allows you to record and access your data accurately, no matter where you’re riding. Your Garmin sits securely and firmly in the mount and is perfectly protected.

One-Piece Carbon Cockpit
When every hundredth of a second counts in a bike race, weight is a crucial factor. That’s why CUBE has designed the One Piece Carbon Cockpit to accommodate the rider’s various riding positions just like a traditional stem/handlebar assembly, whilst significantly reducing weight.
