Bosch Drive Unit Performance Line CX Motor Generation 5

The Performance Line CX Gen.5 (BDU384Y) motor takes riding dynamics and agility to a whole new level. It is powerful, lightweight and quiet. Ten years of experience and countless trail rides around the world have gone into its development. The Performance Line CX motor combines power, dynamism, efficiency and range. 85-600-340: 85 Nm max. torque, 600 W max. motor power, 340% max. assistance factor. These figures represent the ideal balance between performance and riding enjoyment in relation to wear and range.

Powerful uphill
The maximum torque of 85 Nm has a noticeable effect on your riding experience when e-mountain biking. The powerful motor enables strong acceleration after tight bends and obstacles, even at low cadences, and makes setting off on hills easier. For fast sprints, the motor also supports you at high cadences.

Intuitive handling
A mode for greater focus: with the eMTB mode, specially designed for sporty riding, you benefit from optimum control and intuitive handling, as you need to switch between the different riding modes less often. This clever feature of eMTB mode allows you to ride through technical sections with confidence and overcome obstacles such as roots and thick branches effortlessly with targeted pedalling pressure using Extended Boost. The Performance Line CX drive unit thus ensures even more riding enjoyment and a ‘flow’ experience that sets new standards.

Maximum agility
The multi-sensor concept enables controlled and agile riding even on technically demanding trails; combined with the innovative Bosch motor control, it delivers maximum dynamism and responsiveness.

Sporty and economical
Whether you’re out for a sporty ride on a trekking bike or an eMTB, the Tour+ riding mode on the Bosch Performance Line CX always puts riding enjoyment first. It eliminates the need to switch between assistance modes, so you can concentrate fully on your e-biking. In Tour+ mode, you pedal harder on flat stretches than in Tour mode, resulting in a sportier ride – this helps the riding mode conserve power whilst extending your range – for even more riding fun! Whether on trails or tarmac, Tour+ mode is always the right choice. That’s because it constantly adapts to you. Sensors on the motor measure key riding data more than 1,000 times per second, and Tour+ mode uses this information to determine the optimal level of assistance for you. It modulates the extra power so precisely that you not only enjoy a natural riding experience, but also achieve a greater range when you apply more effort.

Personalised riding experience
To ensure the e-bike’s handling matches your own riding style or the chosen route, the available riding modes can be individually adjusted in the eBike Flow app. The level of assistance, dynamics, maximum speed and maximum torque of the drive can thus be flexibly tailored to your personal needs and requirements. Whether it’s an intensive training session or an extended e-bike tour – the riding modes always offer you the right level of assistance and make riding even more enjoyable.

The Performance Line CX responds more sensitively than ever before to your input
Bosch has reinterpreted and improved the signals from the sensors: inertial sensors (IMU), cadence sensor, torque sensor. The new motor does exactly what you want – responsively, controlled and direct. That’s a natural riding experience

eMTB mode and Extended Boost
You don’t need any other riding mode to get into the uphill flow. That’s exactly what Bosch designed it for. The eMTB mode responds progressively to your input and instantly recognises, based on your pedalling force, exactly how much power you want – dynamically, with maximum traction and always in control. With the integrated Extended Boost, a well-timed push on the pedal is all it takes for the drive unit to propel you effortlessly over steps and stones.

Push Assist and Hill Start Assist
All the way to your destination: helpful functions take the weight off your eMTB when you have to stop on tricky sections. With the push assist, you can push your eMTB easily, whilst the drive unit automatically adjusts the pushing speed to suit the gradient and terrain. What’s more, the hill start assist enables a controlled start with strong traction, even on steep terrain. In both cases, Hill Hold is active: your eMTB stays in place and doesn’t roll back unexpectedly.

Compatible with Bosch eBike ABS Pro
Conquer the trail: Bosch has developed the eBike Pro for outstanding performance. ABS Pro is ideal for professional e-bikers: designed for fast, sporty downhill riding and braking. You can make full use of your braking skills whilst still feeling how the system enhances your performance.

Compatible with eShift by TRP
Thanks to the electric gear-shifting system, you can ride to the trail in complete comfort and tackle the trail with maximum performance. You can choose whether eShift with TRP should change gears automatically for you, or whether you’d prefer to change gears yourself with quick manoeuvres on varied terrain – simply at the touch of a button. With eShift, gear changes are efficient and precise.

Optional PowerMore 250 Range Extender
Extend your range and enjoy even longer trail rides with this water-bottle-sized power reserve. Compact and weighing just 1.5 kilograms, the range extender can be easily attached to the water bottle cage. It is compatible with all batteries in the smart system. Please check in advance whether you can use the Range Extender with your e-bike.

Customisable riding modes
A natural riding experience is personal – with the eBike Flow app, you can create a riding mode tailored entirely to your preferences. Your trail, your riding experience, your mode: using four parameters, you can easily adapt the riding modes to your needs via sliders in the eBike Flow app. Assistance, dynamics, maximum torque and maximum speed – you decide what you need.

Enhance your eBike
Use the eBike Flow app to download new features and updates for components such as the battery or motor, and send them to your eBike via Bluetooth. This keeps it up to date and gives you more options.

Track your activities
Record your ride and fitness data as soon as you set off. For iPhone users, Activity Tracking also automatically syncs all data with Apple Health if desired. If you take a break, the recording stops automatically.

Customise riding modes
Tailor the riding mode precisely to your needs: you can fine-tune the Eco, Tour, Sport and Turbo riding modes to provide you with more assistance or use less power.

Keep an eye on everything
Get a quick overview of everything important on the Home Screen. Whether it’s battery level, remaining range, distance already travelled or your next service appointment – the Home Screen clearly displays everything you need to know with constantly updated eBike data.

Bosch Purion 200 Remote with integrated 1.6" color display

Developed in collaboration with ergonomics experts
The Purion 200 is mounted on the left-hand side of the handlebars, right next to your thumb. Thanks to its curved shape, the combination of control unit and display fits elegantly onto the handlebars. When the plus and minus buttons are correctly aligned – i.e. almost vertically – this means greater ease of use for you and quicker reading of your ride data. With just a flick of your thumb, you can control your e-bike and, for example, change the riding mode or the display on your screen. We developed the Purion 200 in collaboration with the ergonomics experts at SQlab to achieve the perfect combination of functionality, comfort and design.

Optimal readability
High resolution, greater color depth, a clear layout and easy-to-understand symbols ensure that you can quickly read and understand the information on the Purion 200. The integrated ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the display’s brightness according to the ambient light. This ensures it remains highly legible even in bright sunlight and in the dark.

Powerful display combinations
If you want more information or a larger display for even better readability, you can use an additional display alongside the Purion 200: have the Kiox 300 or Kiox 500 fitted by a specialist retailer, or use your smartphone as a second display with the SmartphoneGrip and the eBike Flow app. The additional new main display is controlled via the buttons on the Purion 200. The Purion 200 continues to show you the information that was last selected: for example, you can view your current speed on the Purion 200 whilst your main display guides you.

Wide range of functions
The Purion 200 offers numerous features designed to help you ride better and reach your destination more easily. As well as basic functions such as switching your e-bike and the lights on and off, you can, for example, activate the smart push assist using the Purion 200’s buttons to make it easier to push your e-bike whilst walking. At the touch of a button, you can switch the display in a matter of seconds and easily select the information that’s important to you at that moment: for example, keep an eye on your remaining range, see how far you’ve already travelled, or check your cadence.

Intelligently connected
Five buttons, one display and a whole host of possibilities: the Purion 200 is part of the smart system and connects the e-bike to the eBike Flow app. This gives you access to digital features that you can easily activate and use via the app – for example, for enhanced anti-theft protection, recording your activities or the option to customise riding modes to suit your needs. What’s more, the Purion 200 acts as the interface for transferring updates to your e-bike. This ensures it’s always up to date.

With the PowerTube 600 / 800, long distances and significant elevation gains are easy to tackle.

Stylish e-bike design
Like all Bosch PowerTubes, the PowerTube 600 / 800 is perfectly integrated into the frame. An attractive e-bike design and high capacity – a combination that makes no compromises. A new, lighter casing has been used for the battery. Provided the e-bike manufacturer has designed the e-bike to accommodate it, the battery can be easily swapped – for a longer or, if needed, shorter range.

Reliable power source
High safety standards. Impressive mileage, long service life, reliable performance – the lithium-ion battery is equipped with a battery management system that protects the battery cells from overloading.

User-friendly handling
The PowerTube 600 / 800 is characterised by its particularly simple handling. The battery is always securely anchored in the frame on all rides; removal is via an intuitive, lockable mechanism, offering you user-friendly operation.
