At the very edge of cycling, there are athletes who push their bodies and equipment to the limits of what is possible. Ultra-long distance, but ultra-fast. Cervélo calls these rides Big, Stupid Rides - and since the launch of the Caledonia in 2020, riders around the world have been exploring just how awesome stupid rides can be. The Caledonia-5 is designed for long-distance racing and high speeds. The riding position and handling are tuned for comfort without losing the characteristic Cervélo road bike feel. For the new Caledonia-5, Cervélo focused on improvements that make a noticeable difference when pushing the limits of performance. The biggest innovation is the integrated storage compartment in the frame, which was used for the first time on the new P-Series. It is not a trunk for large luggage, but offers space for a multitool, tube and CO₂ cartridge. Comfort has also been further improved: the seat stays have been lowered - similar to the Áspero - making the rear triangle flatter and more vertically flexible. At the same time, the down tube is slightly stiffer to maintain the agile handling typical of the Caledonia. The frame offers space for tires up to 36 mm and each bike comes with mudguard mounts. Like all Cervélo models, the Caledonia-5 is certified by the UCI and comes with a lifetime warranty. Cervélo develops road bikes for maximum performance and long-lasting reliability.

Storage space in the frame
The storage compartment in the frame of the Caledonia-5 is new and offers space for a tube, multitool and CO2 cartridge. Invisible until you run out of air. The flap is easy to remove even when wearing gloves - simply flip the catch and pull.
Aerodynamics
All Cervélo bikes are aero bikes. And when you've been living on sandwiches and jelly babies for three days and riding at full throttle through all the checkpoints, you'll appreciate every speed advantage. The fully internally routed cables and aerodynamic tube shapes help you fight the wind.
Refined & improved
The Caledonia-5 is designed for long day rides, fast group rides and beautiful routes on rough tarmac. Cervelo has kept all the good things and improved some details. Such as the split headset cover, which allows the handlebar height to be adjusted without having to re-route cables.
Equipped with hammerhead
The brand new Hammerhead Karoo comes with Red AXS equipment as standard. The perfect companion for your Big, Stupid Rides, it allows you to choose your preferred trail surface (road, gravel) while exploring the limits of a "good idea".
Reserve 42/49
Developed and tested with Turbulent Aero technology, the RESERVE 42|49 wheelset does it all and offers aerodynamic performance. The 42|49 has been used in events as diverse as Paris-Roubaix and the Giro d'Italia and comes with a lifetime warranty complemented by a generous crash replacement.
