Very poor packaging. To be fair it was the first time this is happended from Bike-Discount in my years as a client. Item arrived protruding from the box. Not a good thing for a centering gauge! After two tickets in three weeks never received a reply from bike discount. BUT I was send a replacement gauge with no prior notification!!! So thank you Bike-Discount for the surprise, excellent support at the end of the day! Tool very accurate as long as it is used in conjunction with a dish tool like Katana WAG-1 which is also budget friendly!
This is my first and only calibration tool (with truing stand), so bear in mind when reading this comment. It is a bit difficult to get the stand properly calibrated with this. Calibrating the upwards arms holding the wheel goes fine, you just need to tighten everything and that's it. More difficult is to calibrate the single arm with rim caliper - this is because the gauge hooks sitting in the stand arms are 2D and not spherical. Therefore, when you cannot properly/tightly seat the gauge in the upright arms when you rotate it towards the arm with rim caliper. Therefore, it is a bit difficult to calibrate the rim arm, and I think the final precision that I can get with the radon truing stand is around +-(1-2)mm. I think something like the ParkTool 1554-1 Calibration Gauge will work better, but for 5-times the price of this.
Absolut empfehlenswert, ergänzt den guten Radon Zentrierständer perfekt. Gut angelegtes Geld...……..
