Gore-Tex's Prism S 3-layer membrane offers waterproof and windproof properties that ensure optimal insulation and riding comfort in any weather.
With the Vibram Wolftrax Clipless sole, you'll benefit from excellent grip on both wet and dry surfaces, resulting in improved traction and braking performance. The upper is made of PU and ripstop material with TPE inserts in the forefoot to minimize friction. The SLW3 closure allows for customization and precise fit adjustment so you can always achieve the optimal fit.

Sock Tips
The sock you put on with your Gore-Tex® footwear is very important. Although highly padded socks can seem like the natural choice to protect your feet from cold, they tend to absorb the sweat produced by the foot, creating an uncomfortable sensation of moisture and wet. This is not related to the shoes, which are completely waterproof. Bei diesem Schuh handelt es sich um einen soliden wintertauglichen Fahrradschuh. Da ich breite Füße habe, habe ich ihn eine Nummer größer genommen. Es geht sich relativ angenehm mit dem Schuh, jedenfalls besser, als mit den Adidas-Schuhen, die ich bislang genutzt habe. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist das Verschlusssystem. Um die Boa-Lizenzkosten zu vermeiden, setzt Northwave auf ein proprietätes System, was zwar ähnlich ist, sich aber nicht ganz so intuitiv bedienen lässt. Negativ auffälig ist vor allem, dass der oberste Seilabschnitt nicht durch die Zunge geführt wird, was durchaus möglich wäre und wie das z. B. bei meinen Scott-Schuhen der Fall ist. Dadurch muss man diesen Abschnitt beim Schließen manuell fixieren, da er sonst mitunter oberhalb der Zunge verläuft und damit die Zunge dort nicht auf den Fuß drückt. Ich nutze den Schuh mit Magped-Platten, was gut funktioniert.
