Merida eONE-FORTY 8000 EP2 Silver (returned item)
Product information "eONE-FORTY 8000 EP2 Silver (returned item)"
This Merida eONE-FORTY 8000 EP2 Silver is a returned item. The full-suspension e-bike shows signs of wear and has only been ridden during the test ride (a total of 344 km).
The eONE-FORTY 8000 features a lightweight carbon main frame with an integrated Shimano EP8 drive unit (EP800) delivering 85 Nm of torque and a 630 Wh battery, paired with agile yet confidence-inspiring trail geometry that’s ideal for all-day off-road adventures. Thanks to its powerful Fox suspension, it tackles any climb and demonstrates absolute control even on the descents. The robust Shimano LinkGlide drivetrain ensures smooth gear changes – time and time again. A perfectly balanced trail e-bike.
Merida eONE-FORTY 8000 EP2
Although the eONE-FORTY is the little sibling of the multi-award-winning and extensively tested eONE-SIXTY, it is second to none when it comes to agile trail handling combined with excellent flow and fun. Equipped with Shimano’s powerful yet sophisticated EP8 drive system, featuring a 630 Wh battery seamlessly integrated into the frame, it is the perfect partner for all kinds of adventures. The trail-specific, balanced geometry is designed for a mix of 29er and 27.5-inch wheel sizes, offering flow and riding enjoyment to riders of all ability levels, whilst a steeper seat angle enhances climbing performance – ideal for all-day e-bike action. The low bottom bracket and reduced standover height provide extra confidence, whilst the 140 mm of front suspension travel and 130 mm at the rear ensure greater control, comfort and genuine off-road capability.

Technologies
Nano Matrix Carbon
NANO MATRIX CARBON is a special type of carbon fibre in which we add very small nanoparticles to the resin that binds the individual carbon fibres together. These act at a molecular level to protect against damage. The technology is so effective that it can increase the impact resistance of the carbon fibre by up to 40 per cent, enabling us to build stronger and lighter composite frames. This, in turn, results in faster and more durable bikes.
HFS Hydroforming System
Whether in terms of shape or wall thickness, we use various processing methods to get the very best out of an aluminium tube. The most complex, but also the most effective, is hydroforming. In this process, the aluminium tube is placed into a negative mould and a hot emulsion of water and oil is forced through it under pressure. The end result is a perfectly shaped aluminium tube, which we use to produce elegant and lightweight aluminium frames.
X-TAPER HEADTUBE
Steering precision is crucial for safe and confident handling. With the X-TAPER HEADTUBE, we can significantly improve this precision. A larger headset diameter at the bottom and a smaller one at the top help to cope with the stresses that modern riding styles and equipment can place on the head tube, without adding unnecessary weight. The X-TAPER HEADTUBE allows for easy fitting of tapered forks and ensures precise and confidence-inspiring handling.
SMOOTH WELDING
We use this process to give our weld seams a beautiful, flat finish. This allows us to avoid the unsightly visual side effects associated with TIG welding. The welder passes the welding torch over the seam twice, thereby smoothing out the filler metal. This requires a great deal of skill, but results in extremely sturdy and elegant frames that, at first glance, resemble carbon fibre.
INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING
On most of our frames, we route the gear and brake cables through the frame. Either they are fed in and out via discreet guides, or we use systems such as SMART ENTRY or WIRE PORT. Internal cable routing protects the gear and brake cables from the elements, ensures a clean, tidy appearance and also offers aerodynamic benefits.
Internal Block System
The INTERNAL BLOCK SYSTEM limits the extent of the steering angle in both directions, thereby preventing the fork crown from striking the frame’s down tube and causing damage in the event of a fall. This is achieved by a bracket in the frame which, together with a special adapter on the fork, limits the steering angle in both directions. A rubberised coating on the frame itself also protects both the frame and the fork.
Thermo Gate
An e-bike’s battery generates heat when in use. However, too much heat can reduce the efficiency and service life of the battery cells. THERMO GATE is a feature used on our carbon-framed e-mountain bikes. Although it looks like an air intake, it is designed to function like a sort of chimney, allowing the warm air to escape upwards. This keeps your battery cooler and ensures it delivers optimal performance for longer. This feature is not required on aluminium frames, as the frame material dissipates heat more effectively.
