The DEFT frame
With the DEFT frame, you’re right up to date – not just visually, but technically too. The integration of the new Bosch Performance CX Gen.5 means, quite simply, that the frame is ready for all current (and future) Bosch features. Not only has the drive unit been completely redesigned and elegantly integrated into the DEFT frame, but the revised down tube now also offers space for the powerful 800 Wh Powertubes. Plenty of range and enough power in reserve, even in cold temperatures or on turbo uphill sections. We’ve remained true to our distinctive wing design, which elegantly connects the down tube to the top tube, ensures stability and simultaneously houses the trunnion mount for the shock. Also still on board: cable routing through the headset with Block-Lock function, a UDH derailleur hanger and an integrated speed sensor for a clean, minimalist look.
The UD carbon finish
A typical feature of UD carbon is that individual carbon layers are visible beneath the glossy or matt clear coat – due to the manufacturing process, every frame is unique and therefore one-of-a-kind. In this manufacturing process, the fibres are arranged in parallel; there is no specially laid ‘visible layer’ or carbon layer.

Performance Upgrade 2.0 for Bosch Performance Line CX (BDU384Y)
The Bosch Performance Line CX (BDU384Y) represents a new level of riding dynamics and agility in the e-bike segment. It is designed to be powerful, light and quiet - with a clear focus on maximum uphill flow and a natural, controlled riding experience.
Even in its standard state, the drive unit delivers a balanced triad of performance, efficiency and range with 85 Nm torque, 600 watts of power and 340 % support. The system is complemented by a low weight of just 2.8 kg - around 100 g lighter than its predecessor - and therefore optimised for both sporty and efficient use.
Bosch is significantly expanding this performance level with the new Performance Upgrade 2.0. From May 2026, the performance of the Drive Unit can be individually increased: more power, higher torque and a significantly increased support factor are available - directly controllable via the Bosch eBike Flow app.
The free software update enables a noticeable increase in performance for compatible systems. The maximum assistance increases to up to 600%, while the peak power of up to 750 watts remains available over a longer period of time. In addition, the riding modes can be customised - precisely tailored to the area of use and riding style.

The upgrade is most effective in the lower speed range and ensures particularly powerful acceleration from a standing start. The legally prescribed assistance limit of 25 km/h remains unchanged.
With the upgrade, the Performance Line CX achieves a maximum torque of up to 120 Nm, a motor output of up to 750 watts and an assistance output of up to 600%. This further sharpens the sporty character of the platform without losing control or the natural riding feel.

eMTB mode and Extended Boost
The eMTB mode reacts progressively to you and recognises how much power you want at lightning speed based on your pedal pressure - dynamically, with maximum traction and always in control. With the integrated Extended Boost, all it takes is a targeted kick on the pedal and the Drive Unit pushes you effortlessly over steps and stones.
Push assist and hill start assist
With the push assist, you can easily push your eMTB, while the Drive Unit automatically adjusts the pushing speed to the gradient and surface. In addition, the hill start assist enables a controlled and high-traction start, even on steep terrain. Hill Hold is active in both cases: Your eMTB stays in place and does not roll back unexpectedly.

ABS Pro is ideal for professional eBikers: designed for fast, sporty downhill riding and braking. You can fully utilise your braking skills and still feel how the system increases performance.

Minimalist, robust control unit
The System Controller is the control unit for eBikes with the smart system, reduced to the essentials. The deliberately limited number of functions and information facilitates a quick overview and is not distracting while riding. The System Controller is seamlessly integrated into the top tube - this means that the already robust companion is additionally protected, is barely noticeable and is perfect for sporty tours and design-orientated eBike fans.
LED display
LEDs indicate the riding mode and battery charge level in 10% increments using different colors.

The system controller makes your eBike smart and is the interface for software updates.

A new, lighter housing has been used for the battery. Provided the eBike manufacturer has prepared the eBike for this, it can be easily replaced - for more or less range.
