Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other "tubeless ready" tyres. The bead of our TR tyres is completely covered with a layer of rubber, just like a real UST tubeless tyre. This means that tubeless tyres can be fitted successfully on all rims with standard dimensions from the very first inflation and with little liquid.
3C MaxxTerra
The right 3C compound for our Enduro and Freeride tyres. This compound is characterised by smooth running uphill and excellent grip downhill as well as a long service life.
Wide Trail Casing
The Wide Trail (WT) construction optimises the tread layout and tyre shape on today's wider rims. Traditional tyres are developed for narrow rims and have a too angular shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance.
WT tyres are optimised for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 40 mm.
EXO Protection+
EXO+ Protection: Maxxis' new EXO+ construction combines two of the best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO.
The SilkShield layer surrounds the whole tyre from bead to bead, the EXO layer is mounted on the sidewalls. Together, this results in EXO+ with the following advantages:
