Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Product information "Dissector II WT 32x2.40" TR EXO+ MaxxTerra E-50 folding tyre"
The revised Maxxis Dissector impresses with excellent grip, stability and direct cornering behaviour - ideal as a front and rear tyre on trail bikes and as a fast rear tyre for enduro use.
The redesigned side and transition lugs with a larger contact area grip early and ensure a full, confident ride - especially when leaning and on hard surfaces. The proven centre tread remains, but the individual arrangement of the centre lugs is new - for better braking control and optimum adaptation to the surface. Revised sipes throughout the tread additionally increase grip and durability.

Tyre technologies
MaxxTerra
As a single compound, the new MaxxTerra rubber compound is the logical further development of the previous MaxxTerra as a triple compound. Developed in the laboratory and perfected by team and test riders on the world's trails, it offers more grip, longer durability and the same low rolling resistance. Expressed in figures, the tread life has been increased by 30% and the grip by 15%. This means more performance and enjoyment when riding and less time spent changing tyres.
EXO+ Protection
The EXO+ carcass is based on a 60TPI carcass coated with an abrasion-resistant rubber. There is a reinforced and rubberised EXO puncture protection layer on the tyre sidewalls and a short butyl insert over the tyre bead. Tyres with EXO+ protection are therefore built for aggressive trail riding and lighter enduro races and are particularly suitable for the higher torque and weight of E-MTBs.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tyres on bikes have many advantages. You can ride with less air pressure and therefore have better traction, the rolling resistance is lower than with an inner tube, and with a sealant instead of an inner tube, the risk of punctures is greatly reduced as small holes are simply sealed. MTB tyres are now almost exclusively used in competitions, and the number of road bike users is also steadily increasing.
Wide Trail Casing
The Wide Trail (WT) construction optimises the tread layout and tyre shape on today's wider rims. Traditional tyres are developed for narrow rims and are too angular in shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance.
WT tyres are optimised for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 40 mm.
