Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Frame-size in cm: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.61. Frame size in inch: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.24.If the theoretical value lies between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Product information "Aspen 29x2.40" WT TR EXO MaxxSpeed Folding Tire"
You want an all-round racing tyre that rolls very well, is very light, but also offers grip in almost all situations? The ASPEN is MAXXIS' answer to this requirement profile. In the middle of the tread, narrow, slightly angled lamellar studs alternate with small, bevelled block studs. They redefine the ideal combination of traction and light rolling. The side galleries run in two groups from the outside to the inside as seen in the direction of travel. This special arrangement provides significantly more grip in curves.

Technologies
Tubeless ready (TR)
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure. This improves traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no hose, the risk of breakdowns is reduced. MAXXIS TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other "Tubeless Ready" tyres. The bead of our TR tyres is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tyre. This means that the tubeless mounting of all rims with standard dimensions is successful right from the first inflation and with little liquid.
EXO Protection
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewalls of various MTB tyres. It is very densely woven, light and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tyres remains convincingly good.
3C MaxxSpeed
The new MaxxSpeed (2023) is the top-shelf rubber compound for XC racing. It’s a high-silica content compound which reduces rolling resistance while also enhancing wet traction. Compared to the previous 3C MaxxSpeed, the new compound has approximately 25% less rolling resistance in a lab setting (using the same tread pattern, construction, and tire pressure). In a real world setting, our testing shows the new compound can save up to a minute over the course of a 90-minute race.
