Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Product information "MX190-X Wide - MTB Shoes"
The MX190 combines the design and adaptability of Lake's premium off-road shoes with high comfort and reliable performance. Based on the proven Lake Sport last, the shoe offers an ideal balance of efficient power transmission and long-distance comfort - perfect for adventure rides, gravel tours and demanding off-road missions.
Comfortable MTB and gravel shoe for long rides: the MX190 from Lake
The MX Sport last has a more generous toe box than the Comfort last and also provides better support in the heel and midfoot area. This creates a stable fit for sporty riding that remains comfortable even when worn for long periods. The Lake Enduro sole combines a fibreglass-reinforced nylon midsole with a real rubber outsole. The construction provides efficient stiffness when pedalling and at the same time enough flexibility to reduce fatigue. The grippy tread ensures secure grip on uneven terrain and when carrying. The shoe is SPD-compatible and is ideal for MTB and gravel use.
The lightweight microfibre upper material in combination with breathable mesh inserts ensures high durability, good ventilation and a permanently stable fit. The wrap-around tongue stabilises the midfoot and improves heel hold for a secure fit even under intense strain. The Dual BOA® L6 fastening system enables separate adjustment in the forefoot and instep area. This allows the fit to be adjusted precisely and evenly without creating pressure points. The flat and robust twist fasteners are specially designed for reliable off-road use.
