The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated

The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.

Functional triathlon shoe: The Carbon G.Iron from Gaerne
The microfibre material has minimal seams to minimize friction, which is particularly beneficial for triathletes who often wear the shoe without socks. An innovative perforation ensures efficient water drainage, excellent breathability and quick drying of the shoe.
The closure system consists of a cross strap, which quickly closes a large area of the shoe, and a lower Velcro fastener. This design was developed specifically for triathletes and allows the shoe to be put on easily and enables quick, individual adjustments during the race.
The integrated, non-slip heel counter increases the stability and control of the foot and improves the overall running feel. The rear loop allows for quick and easy entry and increases comfort for the user.
A small, elastic inner insert helps athletes who prefer to lock their shoes to the bike and allows for quick and easy adjustment while riding. The EPS Lightweight Transpirant insole with anatomical support in the heel and ball of the foot improves stability and comfort while maximizing power transfer and efficiency. Strategically placed perforations that correspond to the holes in the sole improve ventilation and create a better microclimate in the shoe.
The GAERNE EPS Lightweight Full Carbon Sole 12.0 is made of carbon fibres to minimize weight while maximizing stiffness for optimal power transfer. The shape of the arch provides the foot with immediate support and stability. Strategically placed vents and internal channels provide excellent ventilation. The sole is equipped with a non-slip insert in the toe area and a replaceable pad in the heel area. Thanks to the 9 mm extended cleat positioning options and an integrated alignment scale, the rider can easily set their preferred cleat position.
