Optimised for racing: the Float SL Factory EVOL LV Remote shock from Fox Racing
The FLOAT SL inherits the inner workings of its sister models, the FLOAT and FLOAT X, and has subsequently been slimmed down. Using the 2-position remote or the 3-position adjuster, riders can choose between Open, Medium and Firm settings to convert their power into forward momentum as efficiently as possible. Whether on World Cup XCO courses or all-day marathon races, the FLOAT SL offers higher performance and a wider range of tuning options than conventional, lightweight MTB shock absorbers.
Thanks to the tried-and-tested EVOL air spring and a form factor suitable for a wide range of XC and trail bikes, the FLOAT SL offers the ultimate suspension efficiency for riders who want to realise their full potential. Race entry fees are, of course, not included in the price.

The Extra Volume air chamber (EVOL) significantly reduces the suspension’s breakaway torque, ensuring even more responsive handling and maximum comfort when dealing with small bumps in the terrain. The progression of the spring characteristic curve can be fine-tuned using air volume spacers – allowing every rider to precisely tailor the characteristics of the air spring.

Patented air transfer port system The FLOAT air spring system reduces the breakaway torque, delivering a highly responsive fork and exceptional comfort even on minor bumps. And it works for every type of rider and across a wide range of air pressures. Much like the FLOAT shock absorbers, the FLOAT air spring system features a positive and a negative air chamber, which automatically balance each other out whilst riding. Every rider thus enjoys the benefits of the correct, precisely balanced air pressure in both air chambers. The progression of the suspension curve can be adjusted using air volume spacers – allowing every rider to fine-tune the characteristics of the air spring.
