Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Frame-size in cm: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.61. Frame size in inch: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.24.If the theoretical value lies between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Product information "Float X2 Factory 2Pos-Adj Trunnion Shock"
The gamechanger with less friction and more flow: Float X2 Factory 2Pos-Adj Shock from Fox Racing
The most tunable air sprung shock combines an ultra-plush, coil-like feel with incredible damping prowess optimized for Downhill and Enduro racing.
FLOAT X2 offers the ultimate in precision tuning with 4-way adjustability of high/low speed compression and high/low speed rebound damping, all conveniently accessible via external dials. The Variable Valve Control (VVC) technology allows trailside high speed rebound adjustment (a step which would otherwise require shock disassembly) giving riders optimal damping and race-level performance for any situation.
The X2's oversized air chamber provides a more linear, planted ride feel that gravity riders desire. With the MCU bottom-out bumper ensuring end-stroke progressivity and the overall weight savings that only an air spring can provide, X2 further narrows the downhill performance gap between coil and air.
“Factory” says it all – feature-packed and designed to exceed the demands of the Factory-level riders. . Factory Series products feature slippery smooth, ultra-durable Genuine Kashima Coat.
Features - Fox Racing Float X2 Factory 2Pos-Adj Shock
- Base valve piston design and compression tune for increased damping performance and improved sensitivity
- Bearing housing seal package virtually eliminates possibility of aeration
- Scraper seal for improved durability
- More robust eyelet design on trunnion models
- 7000 series shock body on all models
- Hard chrome damper shaft finish for increased durability
- MCU bottom-out bumper for end-stroke progressivity
- Matching 8-click HSC and HSR adjustment on GRIP2 forks and X2 shocks
- Unrivaled high-speed rebound tunability via VVC (Variable Valve Control)

Technologies
RVS - Rod Valve System
Rod Valve System (RVS) provides a more seamless damping transition when absorbing small to large impacts, resulting in faster system response, more control, and less harshness.
EVOL - Extra Volume
The Extra Volume (EVOL) air sleeve significantly reduces the force to initiate travel, providing added sensitivity and better small bump compliance. The progressiveness of the spring curve can be adjusted via air volume spacers, allowing riders to fine-tune the feel of the air spring.
