Fox Racing Shox 40 A Float 29" Performance Elite 203 Grip2 20TAx110 TOP-DEAL
Product information "40 A Float 29" Performance Elite 203 Grip2 20TAx110 TOP-DEAL"
The Fox 40 A Float 29" Performance Elite 203 Grip2 Boost with improved GRIP2 damper is a robust suspension fork with 203mm travel - specially developed for downhill bikes.
Maximum DH performance: the 40 A Float 29" Performance Elite 203 Grip2 from Fox Racing
The DH World Cup queen has a clear goal: to win every race! She is supported in her hunt for gold medals by revised GRIP2 damping, an updated EVOL air spring and numerous other detail innovations. Make room in your trophy cabinet, you'll need it soon!
Equipped with the patent-pending variable valve control (VVC) for high and low speeds, improved compression damping and less friction overall, the 40 is just as comfortable in the bike park as it is on the World Cup track.
Modern frame designs and geometry trends require modern suspension design solutions. The arch design of the new 40 is designed to perfectly match modern enduro and downhill bikes. Head tube profiles have become ever larger and fork offsets ever shorter. The new arch shape takes this into account by protruding forwards to provide sufficient clearance for the head tube at full compression.

Improved FLOAT EVOL air spring for extra plush suspension
Improved Grip2 damper for even better control

FIT GRIP2
The new generation of closed FIT damping. High and low speed compression as well as high and low speed rebound can be adjusted independently of each other. The VARIABLE VALUE CONTROL unit not only gives you the feeling that the preload has been increased, but also that the shim stack has been customised to suit you. The sophisticated mid-valve design allows for a more effective damping curve.
FLOAT air spring - patented air equalisation technology
The FLOAT air suspension system for the 32, 34 and 40 is lighter and reduces the compression force, providing excellent ride comfort and better response to small bumps for all riders and at all pressure settings. Similar to our FLOAT shocks, the new FLOAT system has positive and negative air springs that automatically equalise in use to give the rider exactly the desired suspension behaviour. The progressivity of the spring characteristic can be adjusted via air volume spacers, allowing the rider to fine-tune the spring behaviour of the air spring.
EVOL
A more linear spring curve gives EVOL forks and shocks smoother top-end spring behaviour, extra mid-travel support and more tunable end progression. EVOL technology has an increased negative air spring volume. Specially positioned and dimensioned with optimum sensitivity to small bumps.
Variable Valve Control (VVC)
FIT GRIP2 now offers fast rebound through the innovative and patent pending approach: Variable Valve Control (VVC). It is a revolutionary way to adjust the high-speed rebound by effectively changing the valve stiffness instead of increasing the preload. Unlike normal adjusters that increase valve preload, VVC uses a leaf spring to change the valve flex in high-speed rebound. The adjuster provides the same effect as turning up the high-speed rebound, but without disassembling the shock.
Air Volume Spacers
The FLOAT air spring on Fox forks and shocks can be fine-tuned by using volume spacers to make the suspension elements more progressive or less progressive. This allows the rider to fine-tune the suspension exactly to their needs.
