Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Frame-size in cm: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.61. Frame size in inch: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.24.If the theoretical value lies between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Product information "Transiro Hydra Aeroweave Carbon - Triathlon Shoes"
A lightweight, extremely breathable triathlon cycling shoe: the Transiro Hydra Aero Carbon from Fizik
As changes become increasingly important - they are now considered the fourth discipline in any triathlon competition, whether Ironman or sprint distance - Fizik has revised its tri shoe collection to meet the needs of the most demanding athletes. The Transiro Hydra is equipped with a single Velcro closure that allows quick and carefree changes, where any mistake can cost a lot of time. In addition, the wrap-around strap provides the necessary support to allow athletes to perform in any race situation.
The Aeroweave upper provides maximum breathability. In the second generation of Aeroweave fabric, nylon fibers are interwoven with filaments of thermoplastic polymers to create an even lighter shoe that retains its original strength while still providing the firmness and support needed in competition. The new upper is also softer, making it ideal for those who want to eliminate the need for socks while cycling.
The R2 outsole saves weight by using carbon fibers and offers greater stiffness with a stiffness index of 10, making it the most responsive outsole in the Fizik range. A wide ventilation opening and deep internal channels provide cooling airflow to help regulate temperature. The cleat position is slightly more rearward compared to conventional settings to optimize pedaling efficiency and reduce compression in the knee area - particularly suitable for very aggressive, forward aero positions typically adopted by triathletes.
