The new Mountain King is the result of the close collaboration between adidas and Continental. As an all mountain tyre with Enduro character, the tyre offers the ideal traction experience and connects the rider with the trail. BlackChili Compound and the carcass work together to create a full driving experience. The newly positioned cleats promise a lower weight and offer good handling, even on softer surfaces and wet conditions. While the centre studs are geared to acceleration and speed, the deep-seated outer studs provide stability and surfing on the trail.
The sidewall of the tyre has been completely reworked and convinces with a clear design language. The Mountain King's new carcass also incorporates Continental's new Tubeless-Ready concept, which as a pioneer of the next generation offers completely new comfort, from set-up to trail. With its new core and sidewall construction, the tyre provides an ideal seal on the rim.
The hard way
ProTection technology gives tyres the perfect blend of smooth running, grip and puncture protection. This is made possible by an additional, all-round puncture protection layer that makes the entire tyre particularly resistant and insensitive to injuries. In spite of the additional layer, the tyre has a very good damping property and irones cleanly over the hardest trails. BlackChili provides the necessary smoothness and grip. Another feature of ProTection technology from Germany is the Tubeless Ready capability. The revolutionary Tubeless Ready foot allows easy and uncomplicated mounting of the tyre. For optimum sealing and application results, we recommend the use of the new Continental RevoSealant sealant.
B+ tyres offer particularly comfortable driving characteristics. The larger diameter makes the tyre roll more easily over obstacles, giving more traction and nestling in the trail instead of just rolling over. The weight of these tyres remains relatively low. Thanks to its specially optimised carcass, it is possible to drive B+ tyres with lower air pressure than usual. B+ tyres therefore offer the special grip experience
