The U-lock with security level 12 from 15 is one of the classics in securing bicycles and not without reason. Hardened 12 mm round shackle and no moving parts outside of the closing mechanism provide an excellent starting position for the hardest resistance.

Ein großartiges kleines Schloss! - Unschlagbares Verhältnis von Sicherheit und Gewicht, gute Bewertungen in div. Tests. Wiegt nicht mehr als ein typisches "Panzerkabelschloss", ist aber um Welten sicherer. Keine versteckten Angriffspunkte wie z. B. die Nieten bei den modischen Faltschlössern. Trotz der sehr kleinen Dimensionen habe ich bisher immer einen Pfahl zum Anmachen gefunden. Deutlich leichter als die großen Bügel- und Kettenschlösser, aber fast gleich sicher: ein normaler Bolzenschneider dürfte sich an 12mm gehärtetem Stahl die Zähne ausbeißen - und mit der Flex kriegt man sowieso alles auf. Scheibenschloss, schließt und öffnet dennoch reibungslos, wenn man mit etwas Gefühl vorgeht. Zur Sicherung von Laufrädern, Sattel und Korb verwende ich zusätzlich ein Schlaufenkabel 8mm x 200cm - dickere Kabel bringen nichts, sie sind wesentlich unflexibler (z.B. ungeeignet zur Sicherung d. Sattels) und gegen Angriffe mit Werkzeug sind sie gleichermaßen machtlos. Wer sein Rad nicht ständig putzt, ist allerdings mit der schwarzen Variante besser dran - das schicke Rot verliert schnell an Charme. Ich habe das Schloss auch mehrfach auf Reisen nach Süditalien mitgenommen, um Leihräder festzumachen, weil die Schlösser der Verleiher meistens komplett wertlos sind - bisher erfolgreich, allerdings stand das Rad nachts immer in der Ferienwohnung.
