Zipp XPLR SW Carbon wheelset

The Zipp 303 XPLR SW wheelset has the size to take on your biggest gravel goals. And how big exactly? This wheel is the fastest on unpaved surfaces - not least thanks to its mega-wide rim, which can be seamlessly combined with approved gravel tyres.* Most gravel wheels are modified versions of existing road bike wheels that focus primarily on stiffness and low weight. Zipp takes a different approach. On gravel, wind resistance and friction slow the rider down just as much as the vibrations caused by the uneven surfaces. To counteract this, Zipp has applied its Total System Efficiency design philosophy specifically to the challenges of gravel. The wide rim profile increases the tyre volume and thus enables lower tyre pressures without sacrificing stability. This means you dampen vibrations from the ground while maintaining the necessary grip for corners and traction for steep climbs. The rim profile also creates a seamless transition to the gravel tyres and therefore efficient aerodynamics on gravel. And despite its width, the 303 XPLR SW wheelset remains lightweight so that you can experience those fulfilling days in the saddle as quickly and refreshed as possible.

Goodyear XPLR Slick designed for Zipp

The Goodyear XPLR Slick is part of a wheel and tyre system that changes the gravel game. It is a semi-slick gravel race tyre designed for Zipp's special 303 XPLR SW and S wheelsets and is the fastest wheel and tyre combination on flat to medium gravel. It shows its best performance in dry conditions.

Less vibration, more speed: Goodyear XPLR Slick with M:Wall technology

Gravel wheel systems today are usually slightly stronger versions of what is available for the road: light, stiff, narrow and aerodynamic. The problem is that riding on gravel leads to harmful vibrations that slow you down and tire you out over time. In addition, gravel tyres usually negate the aerodynamic advantages of traditionally narrow road rims. The slick tyre is designed to measure 40 mm on the 303 XPLR wheel.

The new XPLR wheel and tyre system takes a completely new approach and optimises the dimensions of the components to achieve the fastest setup on the market. In addition to the unrivalled aero advantages for gravel, the resulting width of the rim also allows for lower tyre pressure, which helps to filter vibrations and thus save additional energy.

The XPLR Slick offers the most aerodynamic gravel setup with 303 XPLR SW and S wheels and is best suited for racing on flat gravel in dry conditions. Its smooth centre ensures fast rolling, while the texture and side grip provide a secure feel. The light and supple construction improves ride quality. The M:Wall reinforcements in the sidewalls provide puncture protection against cuts and punctures, allowing the rider to run the lowest possible air pressure. Finally, the dimensions of the tyre beads are designed to ensure comfortable mounting and a secure grip on Zipp TSS rims. Only approved tyres can be used on the XPLR wheels.
