Makes every mountain tour a pleasure: Very light at 340 g, the Uphill 8 is minimalist while ensuring a high level of comfort. The asymmetrically opening main compartment offers 8 l volume, by a flat, stretchy mesh pocket and a zippered side pocket you always have access to the phone or the bar without having to remove the bike backpack.
Lightweight cycling rucksack: the Uphill 8 by VAUDE
The multifunctional lacing system on the front has three functions: stowing a jacket when the rucksack is full; compressing the depth when carrying less luggage; and providing a way to attach walking poles. To ensure good ventilation, we have incorporated 3D mesh into the back panel and shoulder straps. Reflective elements, a hydration system outlet and the rain cover in the pack pouch round off the features of this all-rounder. All materials contain a high proportion of recycled content.
A certified mass balance process is used for the ultra-light, siliconised main material of this lightweight rucksack. In this process, pyrolysis oil is extracted from end-of-life tyres and incorporated into conventional polyamide production. Chemical recycling reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 60 per cent. Furthermore, this product is climate-neutral: emissions from materials, the manufacturing process and shipping have been comprehensively assessed and systematically reduced. Emissions that are currently unavoidable have been fully offset through the independent non-profit organisation ‘myclimate’. The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for an environmentally friendly, functional product made from sustainable and bluesign®-certified materials.
