Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Frame-size in cm: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.61. Frame size in inch: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.24.If the theoretical value lies between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Ultra-smooth chain inner-plates are completely devoid of square edges, resulting in a chain that engages the cassette and chainring with far less friction, for quieter performance and better wear life. The design allows a narrower overall profile that can withstand greater angles, and also allows for a flatter outer-plate, which means more consistent chain riveting and enhanced overall strength.
PowerLock®
SRAM chain engineers developed PowerLock® as a tool free, sure, and consistent way to connect our chains. While PowerLock® does not require special tools for install, the especially tight tolerances of 10-, 11- and 12-speed drivetrains mandate that each PowerLock® is good for a one-time application only.

Average rating of 3.8 out of 5 stars
Average rating of 2 out of 5 stars
Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars
Using this chain heavily on Cross country racing in amateur level. During season every 800-900 km. changing it. Price is good. But for endurance I would deffinately recomend the x01 or xx1 chains.

Will come here to update later on how long this chain will last me. The original chain which came with Radon Slide Trail (SX Eagle) lasted about 250kms only. Wet/Muddy conditions, wash bike after each ride, clean chain after each ride, re-lube after each ride. Hope this will last at least 2x that.

Bisher 1500 km ohne Probleme, Längung unter 0.5. Preis-Leistung Top, wie bei Shimano XT.
Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars
Bin soweit sehr Zufrieden. Habe jetzt nach 3500km das erste mal die Kette gewechselt. Laut meiner Lehre hätte die alte sicher noch 1000km gefahren werden können. Für mich passt Preis/Leistung auf jeden Fall.
Average rating of 2 out of 5 stars
Quite disappointed with the SRAM GX chains. That's the second one I change after less than 1000kms. KMC chains are much better and more durable.
