Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

AXS
AXS™ is the new electronic integration platform from SRAM that combines electronic bike components and software. The SRAM AXS app allows riders to view battery status, change component behaviour, adjust controls, receive maintenance reminders and update firmware.
eTAP
Wireless shifting, battery energy management and mechatronics - our RED eTAP technology serves one purpose: to offer you the most intuitive operation possible. We call the switching logic behind it eTAP. The right lever shifts to the higher gear, the left lever to the lower gear. You can control the chainrings via both levers. Simple, smooth and intuitive.
Bleeding Edge™
With this new brake fluid circuit, the bleed port has been relocated to the underside of the brake calliper and all four piston bores can access it. This allows the caliper to naturally fill with fluid during bleeding, making bleeding easier and more consistent.
Contact Point Adjustment
Some people like the immediate power transmission of a short lever travel. Others prefer the feeling of a longer lever travel. With the contact point adjustment, you can determine the position where your fingers should be when the brakes are applied. This allows you to quickly and easily adapt the feel of your brakes to your needs without having to move the brake pads. In addition, both brake levers can be adjusted so that they feel exactly the same.
Reach Adjust
The fit and ergonomics of the brake lever is a very personal matter. Riders have individual position preferences as well as unique hand sizes and finger lengths. With the reach adjustment, the lever can be adjusted with ease - for maximum control with just one finger.
