SILCA Super Secret 2.0 Chain Lube, 100ml, combines the effectiveness of hot wax with an easy-to-use dropper bottle. The revised wax lubricant formula is designed to deliver longer mileage, improved performance in wet conditions and reduced mechanical friction in the drivetrain.
Improved drivetrain efficiency – Super Secret 2.0 Chain Lube 100ml
SILCA Super Secret Lube 2.0 has been further developed in collaboration with Team Visma | Lease a Bike. The new formula combines an emulsified wax base with tungsten disulphide (WS₂) and other additives. Smaller wax particles and a new emulsification process allow for 8–10 per cent more wax in the formula. The modified geometry of the tungsten disulphide particles promotes better adhesion to metal.
A single application provides a range of 350–400 km, depending on conditions. Compared with the original formula, the service life has been increased by around 20 per cent. In muddy and wet conditions, the service life has doubled compared with the original version.

Use
- Cleaning – Clean the chain. Wipe down a previously waxed chain; degrease and dry a previously oiled chain.
- Application – Shake well before use; to ensure better penetration, shift through the gears in a criss-cross pattern and, whilst turning the chain backwards slowly, apply one drop to each roller.
- Allow to dry – Move the chain backwards several turns to ensure the lubricant is evenly distributed. Then leave to cure for at least 4 hours; according to Silca, overnight is ideal.
- Riding – Once completely dry, the chain can be used for up to 350–400 km.
