INSTANT RELEASE shifting replaces the two-stage click and release shifting you are familiar with. INSTANT RELEASE shifting releases cable as soon the lever is activated, resulting in the quickest possible gear changes. Whether it is an upshift with a Top Normal rear derailleur or a downshift with low normal rear derailleur a quicker shift is always a better shift.
2-Way Release
The RAPIDFIRE Plus shifter release lever is commonly called a trigger because it is operated like a pistol, by pulling toward the grip. The release lever of RAPIDFIRE Plus shifters from ALIVIO to XTR can be operated in this same manner but adds the ability to activate a release shift by pushing with the thumb.

Ein guter Schalthebel mit schlechter Haltbarkeit! Diesen Schalthebel habe ich im Mai 2020 hier erworben. Leider ist nun im November 2023 im Inneren eine Feder gebrochen, sodass man nicht mehr Herunterschalten kann. Es scheint sich dabei um einen Serienfehler zu handeln, der auch zahlreiche andere Online-Nutzer betrifft. Von bike-discount gibt es keine Unterstützung, da der Artikel außerhalb des Garantiezeitraums liegt. Für knapp 50 Euro hätte ich mir mehr Haltbarkeit von diesem "Premium"-Produkt erhofft.

habe einen SLX Hebel durch diesen ersetzt wegen multirelease. Als Bonus gibt's instant release. Einziger Wehrmachtstropfen: war der SLX geschmeidig und leichtgängig, muss man den XT schon recht kräftig drücken.
