Product information "DURA ACE Di2 RD-R9150 11-speed rear derailleur SS TOP-DEAL"

The Shimano Dura Ace Di2 RD-R9150 rear derailleur is characterised by the flat profile of the SHIMANO SHADOW rear derailleurs, harmonises perfectly with its counterparts from the cockpit area and is of course optimised for the new functionalities (without original packaging).

Most advanced component group ever: Shimano Dura Ace 11-speed Di2 rear derailleur RD-R9150 SS

Here too, the aim was to guarantee a highly precise, smooth and reliable shifting function with direct, clear feedback. A revised design of the front derailleur and rear derailleur, as well as the direct mount option and SHADOW technology for the latter, reduce operating forces while simultaneously increasing shifting forces and raising the performance of mechanical shifting on road bikes to an even higher level.

With the R9100 series, SHIMANO presents the latest generation of the flagship DURA-ACE road bike groupset, the most advanced component group of all time. The new DURA-ACE is the answer to the question posed by many professionals and ambitious amateurs as to whether and how the current, already immensely high level of performance could be increased even further.

The Di2 front derailleur (FD-R9150) and the Di2 rear derailleur (RD-R9150) harmonise perfectly with their counterparts from the cockpit area and are of course also optimised for the new functionalities. Both are characterised by compact dimensions and are also optimally protected against damage in the event of a fall. The rear derailleur is also characterised by the flat profile of the SHIMANO SHADOW rear derailleurs, which also position the chain even more directly under the respective sprocket.

Technologies

Shimano Shadow RD
With its sophisticated technology, the SHIMANO SHADOW rear derailleur is particularly suitable for a more aggressive riding style. The extremely minimised profile brings with it a number of advances. Thanks to its flat design and single-bias construction, the rear derailleur does not hit the chainstay even under the roughest conditions. The derailleur works cleanly and quietly.

SEIS SHIMANO ELECTRONIC INTELLIGENT SYSTEM
The innovative shifting technology of the SEIS is still based on the SHIMANO INDEX SYSTEM (SIS), whose outstanding shifting performance has proven itself over many years. The main difference between the systems is that the shifting process is no longer mechanical but electronic. This electronic shifting system has been extensively tested in recent years by several professional cyclists under all conceivable conditions, e.g. rain, mud, extreme cold, cobblestones and a combination of these factors. Shifting is done by simply pressing a button. No effort is required to change gear, which has clear advantages as the rider always has a firm grip on the handlebars and can concentrate on riding without being distracted by changing gear. The shifting system enables precise and effortless shifting in all situations, even with cold hands or when the rider is completely exhausted. The shifting performance can also no longer be affected by dirty or stretched cables, as the shifting signal is transmitted electronically. The operating buttons work in a similar way to mechanical dual control levers, making it easy to get used to the SEIS.

E-Tube
The E-Tube platform offers optimum flexibility. E-Tube transmits interactive signals and supplies all parts with power via "plug & play" connections. E-Tube is resistant to corrosion, expansion and frost and guarantees low maintenance. And the SMPCE1 establishes the connection between PC and components to update the firmware. Digital devices stay up to date by updating the firmware and offer better function.

Synchro-Shift
SHIMANO's Synchro-Shift technology is a feature first introduced to road bikes with the DURA-ACE R9100. Synchro-Shift simplifies shifting immensely and significantly reduces the amount of decision-making processes that take place while riding. Particularly in decisive racing situations or when riding at the limit, riders often have to complete a large number of decision-making processes in addition to the physical strain, which are often disrupted and lead to wrong decisions. The fewer decision-making processes there are, the better decisions are made and the more attention remains focussed on the race. This is exactly what SHIMANO Synchro-Shift technology makes possible, which always selects the optimum next larger or next smaller gear ratio combination, regardless of whether this requires shifting at the rear derailleur and/or the front derailleur.

Two modes are available for SHIMANO Synchro-Shift technology:

  • Full Synchro-Shift: The front derailleur reacts to the shifting operations that the rider performs on the rear derailleur. Essentially, this means that only one shift lever with two shifters is required to shift the rear derailleur and front derailleur.

  • Semi Synchro-Shift: The rear derailleur reacts to the shifting operations that the rider performs on the front derailleur. The rear derailleur automatically provides the necessary compensation for small cadence jumps when shifting up or down on the front derailleur.
