Robust construction and a modern design: Shimano’s DEORE SM-CRM66 12-speed chainring
With components for a wide range of applications and a look inspired by the black and grey design of the DEORE Di2, SHIMANO presents the new DEORE M7200/M6200 family. The new generation combines the typical characteristics of a genuine MTB component group: powerful and consistent braking performance, fast mechanical shifting under load, a particularly robust rear derailleur and ergonomically optimised operation.
Designed for riders who value durability, precise shifting, mechanical simplicity and reliable braking performance, the new DEORE series offers numerous technologies from higher-end SHIMANO MTB groupsets.
- Robust drivetrain construction – designed to reliably withstand impacts and obstacles on the trail.
- Modern mechanical shifting performance – proven cable-actuated shifting with optimised ergonomics.
- Improved chain stability – a new chain stabiliser and dual-spring design increase spring tension by 70% for better chain retention and reliability.
- Controlled braking performance – consistent performance and precise modulation across a wider temperature range.
Robust drivetrain construction – At the heart of the new DEORE M7200/M6200 drivetrains is a newly developed rear derailleur that shifts precisely and reliably even under heavy load. The flat, wedge-shaped design of the chain stabiliser is based on technologies found in current SHIMANO Di2 MTB rear derailleurs. The compact design allows obstacles to be better cleared and reduces the risk of snagging on rocks or roots. After an impact, the rear derailleur can return to its original position without affecting shifting performance.
