Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated

Product information "DEORE BL-M6200+BR-M6220 1000mm front disc brake"
Shimano’s DEORE BL-M6200 hydraulic 2-finger brake lever has been designed with ergonomics and the human hand in mind, offering powerful braking with a smooth lever feel and precise modulation for ultimate control when paired with the 4-piston BR-M6220 brake caliper. The new DEORE brakes benefit directly from technologies derived from the XTR and DEORE XT groupsets. The result is consistent power delivery with high control and a constant braking feel across varying temperatures and trail conditions.
Robust and intuitive: Shimano DEORE BL-M6200+BR-M6220 4-piston front disc brake
The DEORE BL-M6200 brake levers can be combined with both the high-performance BR-M6220 four-piston caliper and the lighter BR-M6200 two-piston caliper. New seals and a revised low-viscosity mineral oil ensure a smooth oil flow and a consistent pressure point in both hot and cold conditions.
DEORE brakes – The brake lever utilises SHIMANO’s SERVO WAVE technology, which ensures faster pad contact and a smooth, easily controllable build-up of braking force. In combination with the newly developed calipers, the system offers consistent piston return and reliable braking performance, even on long descents and in changing trail conditions.
Features - Shimano DEORE BL-M6200/BR-M6220 4-piston front disc brake
- Consistent braking control: The all-new low-viscosity mineral oil ensures a reliable and strong performance curve at all temperatures and on any terrain
- Choice of calipers: Combine the BL-M6200 with the BR-M6220 Enduro or BR-M6200 XC calipers for a lightweight, high-performance setup
- Durability: The BL-M6200 aluminium brake lever is manufactured using SHIMANO’s proven forging process
- Clean cable routing: The redesigned cable routing on the BL-M6200 ensures a tidy appearance
- I-Spec EV compatible: Mounting the shifter on the brake lever for a clean, tidy cockpit
- Redesigned seals and low-viscosity oil: Reliable brake pad contact in all temperatures and trail conditions
- Heat dissipation: Resin or metal pads, with or without cooling fins, allow for precise tuning of braking performance in combination with SHIMANO brake discs
- No rattling: Redesigned brake pads and the oval mount eliminate unnecessary noise
