Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Product information "105 ST-R7020+BR-R7070 2x front disc brake J-Kit TOP-DEAL"
Race-proven performance: Shimano 105 2x ST-R7020 + BR-R7070 front disc brake
The biggest innovation within the 105 groupset is undoubtedly the introduction of a group-integrated hydraulic disc brake system. The new BR-R7070 flat-mount brake callipers are compatible with ICE TECHNOLOGIES brake pads and UCI-compliant (no 90-degree angle) SM-RT70 brake discs, thus offering a high degree of heat dissipation. The new ergonomic dual-control shift/brake levers (ST-R7020), which, like the ULTEGRA ST-R8020 levers, offer a larger adjustment range for different hand sizes and grip widths, are the counterpart on the handlebars. For even more customisation options, the 105 R7000 groupset offers an additional STI model (ST-R7025), which has been specially designed for riders with small hands by changing the angle to the handlebars and outwards.
For both STI types - for rim brakes (ST-R7000) and disc brakes (ST-R7020/7025) - the shifting mechanism has also been revised to ensure faster and smoother shifting with shorter lever travel.
Although the new SHIMANO 105 has the same high-quality, sporty look as its big siblings DURA-ACE and ULTEGRA, the developers of the R7000 groupset also took into account the fact that 105 users generally use their road bikes for much more than just racing or training rides. The SHIMANO 105 has always marked the entry into the field of high-quality, race-inspired component groupsets. With the new 105, this definition is now much broader and also includes the high degree of user-friendliness and customisability required for a wide range of applications.
