The new Spark RC is one of the lightest 120 mm XC race bikes of the new generation, combining low weight with performance-oriented features and genuine racing DNA. Lightness and efficiency form the basis of this frame. It’s not the number on the scales that matters, but a targeted weight distribution that translates directly into performance on the trail and the race track. Every gram saved serves a purpose, and every structural decision is guided by the need for a balance of stiffness and long-term reliability.
Riding dynamics
Every detail of this bike has been specifically engineered – for maximum grip, traction and stability, as well as the confidence to push yourself even harder. Riding dynamics mean speed and control, in terms of grip and stability. The controlled flex of the Spark RC frame, as a complete system, ensures greater grip, line control and efficiency. Lateral, vertical and torsional flex are precisely tuned to work in harmony throughout the entire frame. The result is a bike that feels responsive, predictable and fast on any terrain.
Easy access
Servicing and suspension set-up are intuitive thanks to the easily accessible frame with top and rear frame covers. The magnetic and clip-on covers allow easy access to the shock and internal components, ensuring quick and hassle-free workshop servicing. Both frame covers are sealed to protect the shock from dirt and water. With a split top cover – particularly on electronic shocks – the ingress of dust and moisture into the frame is inevitable. To remedy this, a large drain hole in the frame allows accumulated water to drain away efficiently. The shock shaft and seals remain fully protected, ensuring consistently reliable suspension performance in all conditions.
Low centre of gravity
Thanks to the optimised frame layout and innovative kinematics, the shock is positioned as low as possible within the frame. Structural carbon fibre is specifically concentrated in the areas critical to performance. Thanks to the optimised shock absorber position, the centre of gravity is kept low and deep within the frame, noticeably improving stability, cornering precision and control.
