The new Addict RC has been designed to defy gravity and boost your performance. It is one of the lightest production road bikes in Scott’s range. Whether you’re tackling steep climbs or sprinting to the finish line, every aspect of this bike has been carefully crafted with a single goal in mind – to leave everyone else in the dust. This full-carbon road bike is fitted with Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic shifting and a Syncros Capital Carbon wheelset.

For the brand-new Addict RC, we have completely rethought our approach to manufacturing carbon road bikes. Inspired by the concept behind mountain bikes, SCOTT has carefully refined the moulding process and sought innovative ways to improve performance on the road. The result? A remarkable 300 g reduction in the weight of the frameset compared to the previous model – without compromising on racing performance.
Precision Engineering
An innovative manufacturing process (PP-Mandrel) enables high-precision shaping of internal surfaces and transition zones, combined with strength-optimised tube shapes, thereby eliminating the need for additional reinforcements and unnecessary filler material. The result is first-class tube profiles and surfaces that significantly reduce the frame’s overall weight without compromising on strength or stiffness.
Optimised Geometry
The geometry of the Addict RC has been comprehensively revised to seamlessly adapt to the modern specifications for this bike. It allows for the fitting of wider tyres whilst improving handling across all sizes. Whether you’re a professional or looking to conquer the local KOMs/QOMs at the weekend, the Addict RC promises improved agility and responsiveness, delivering an unrivalled riding experience.
Comfort
By combining advanced shaping technology with a redesigned seatpost clamping system, the walls of the seat tube have been made thinner, reducing the amount of material used in this key frame component. In conjunction with the new, innovative Syncros SP-R101-CF seatpost, the reduced wall thickness of the seat tube provides greater flexibility and added comfort on longer rides. Furthermore, the brand-new Addict RC offers generous tyre clearance of 34 mm, ensuring enhanced comfort even on the most challenging terrain.
Syncros IC-R 100-SL Cockpit
Given the prevalence of modern road bike groupsets with outward-curving brake levers, our aim was to develop an aerodynamic handlebar. We achieved this through a subtle bulge at the drop ends, which blends seamlessly into the brake levers, resulting not only in greater aerodynamic efficiency but also in improved handling. In addition, we have optimised the cable routing and redesigned the clamping system to save a few more grams.
User-Friendly Adjustability
By standardising the screw specifications and integrating a universal tool, we have revolutionised the adjustment process. The T25 spanner is discreetly housed in the cockpit or within the handlebar clamps, enabling the rider to fine-tune the stem, handlebars, seatpost, saddle clamps and even bottle cages with unprecedented ease. This innovative solution not only enhances the riding experience but also simplifies adjustment procedures for mechanics.
