The Santa Cruz Bullit in detail
The Bullit was built for the longest and most demanding trails. For roots, rocks, jumps and steep descents that you’ll want to tackle with plenty of suspension travel. For trails that were previously the preserve of Nomad and Megatower riders. With the support of the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen.5 system, Santa Cruz is now taking things a few steps further and tackling new challenges beyond the cable cars and shuttle routes.
Whilst the Heckler focuses on agility and playfulness, the Bullit is a bike for the rough stuff. 170mm of travel, a 38mm fork and DoubleDown tyres deliver uncompromising downhill performance. With more suspension travel and more aggressive geometry, the Bullit is designed for more action and wilder trails than the Heckler.
It was the successes of downhill champion Loris Vergier, riding a Santa Cruz with a 27.5” rear wheel, that opened Santa Cruz’s eyes to the MX concept during the development of the Bullit. Loris’s primary aim – to gain more freedom of movement over the rear wheel on steep descents – is just one of the benefits of the MX setup. He and Santa Cruz realised that this preserves the 29er front wheel’s composure and thirst for speed, whilst simultaneously delivering greater agility and improved controllability. It also allows for greater flexibility in the design of the chainstay length – to achieve the right balance between handling and climbing ability, which is particularly relevant for an e-bike.
Lifetime frame warranty
Santa Cruz Bicycles will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace any frame manufactured by Santa Cruz Bicycles that is found to have a fault in materials or workmanship. The warranty is valid for the lifetime of the frame and is available exclusively to the original owner. Notwithstanding the foregoing, frames purchased before 1 May 2015 are covered by the previously existing warranty for five years from the original date of purchase. In the event that the warranty does not apply, Santa Cruz Bicycles will offer the original owner replacement parts at a reduced price for the warranty period described above.*

Wheel size mix
This wheel size combination is also known as a ‘mullet’. It combines a 29” front wheel with a 27.5” rear wheel. The leading 29” wheel provides a large contact patch, which generates plenty of traction and improves roll-over performance. The rear wheel, with its smaller diameter, offers greater freedom of movement, enabling more agile handling. The result is a bike that still feels like a 29er but is lighter and more efficient on the trail.
UDH – derailleur hanger
The only derailleur hanger you’ll ever need. The SRAM UDH is simple, robust and universal. So you (or your mates) won’t have to search in vain for a derailleur hanger ever again.
