Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated

DebonAir
It's okay to be soft. The DebonAir is not ashamed to give way at the slightest bump. In fact, it makes Monarch and Monarch Plus shocks softer than ever right from the start. You may think of this as a weakness until you hit the trail with the DebonAir. There will be a seamless connection between your bike and the terrain, as your DebonAir-equipped shock swallows every single bump without your body being affected. With such soft hits, you can go full throttle even more.
Rapid Recovery™
Who wouldn't want more travel for successive hits? Thanks to the Rapid Recovery system, the shock returns to its original position more quickly after successive hits, allowing the bike to grip the ground more precisely. This more active damping system does not fail and ensures a ride with higher and softer spring stiffness. With Rapid Recovery, the rider benefits from greater suspension travel for a smoother and more controlled ride on every stroke.
BOOST™
BOOST™ is a new wheel and drivetrain specification that offers improved frame geometry with shorter chainstays, wider and stiffer suspension, a greater number of chainring options, more clearance for wider tyres and increased wheel stiffness and robustness.
Torque Caps
Torque caps reinforce the connection between the hub and the fork dropout by increasing the surface area that connects the two. This creates a stronger and stiffer interface that gives you better feedback and more control. So you can concentrate on the most important connection: The one between your bike and the trail. Compared to conventionally dimensioned end caps, torque caps offer significantly greater stiffness at the fork-hub interface. However, there is no technical disadvantage to using standard end caps on Torque Cap compatible RockShox suspension forks.
