CHILD-FRIENDLY ERGONOMICS - FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION
Children have a smaller field of vision than adults, i.e. they can only see their surroundings from a limited angle. This restriction poses dangers, especially in areas close to traffic. For this reason, it is particularly important that children sit as upright as possible on the bike. Only a relaxed, upright posture enables children to perceive their surroundings optimally when riding a bicycle and thus provides the basis for safe riding behavior. PUKY® takes into account sensible adjustment ranges for the individual growth phases and thus ensures a sustainable service life. Since, unlike adults, children's center of gravity is in the upper half of the body, it is also particularly important to design the frame geometry in such a way that the children's bike has particularly balanced handling characteristics. The child-friendly positioning of the bottom bracket and the optimum distance between the saddle and handlebars are further important factors for a child-friendly frame geometry.
STANDARD AND CHILD-FRIENDLY V-BRAKE
Puky uses standard and child-friendly V-brakes in the LS-Pro models. These ensure a good braking effect and guarantee an optimal dosage of braking force so that the rider comes to a safe stop. In contrast to conventional V-brakes, falls caused by excessive, abrupt braking power are avoided.
THE PUKY SAFETY SET - SAFE ON THE ROAD
The PUKY safety set has always ensured safety on the vehicle and while riding. The set consists of a handlebar pad, a bell, safety handlebar grips, front and rear reflectors, plastic edge protectors on the front mudguard, child-friendly, non-slip pedals with a third reflector and a closed chain case that protects children from reaching into the drive.

die angegebene Mindestschritthöhe von 40cm ist etwas zu gut gemeint. Unsere Tochter ist bei ca. 42cm und es wird wohl noch ein paar Wochen dauern, bis das Rad halbwegs passt. Ansonsten bekommt man für das Geld ein vergleichsweise Top Rad mit guter Ausstattung. Lediglich die Verzierungen (Emblem...) sind nur als Aufkleber ausgeführt. Bin gespannt wie lange die halten und gut aussehen. Bei unserem Modell war außerdem die Kette viel zu stark gespannt und auch sonst war hier und da noch Feintuning nötig. Die Schaltung würde ich als halbautomatisch bezeichnen. Das Hochschalten beim Beschleunigen funktioniert automatisch, aber zum Runterschalten muss ca. eine halbe bis ganze Umdrehung rückwärts getreten werden. Das Runterschalten funktioniert natürlich nur wenn die entsprechende Geschwindigkeit (ca. 10Km/h) unterschritten ist und auch dann nicht 100% zuverlässig.
