The sporty and lightweight children’s bike from PUKY: the LS-PRO 16
The extremely lightweight and ergonomic steel frame of the PUKY LS-PRO 16 is the centrepiece of the smallest street racer in the range. The fork, crankset and seat post are also made from aluminium. Another special feature of the PUKY LS-PRO 16 is the world’s only standard-compliant V-brakes designed for children. The braking process is deliberately slowed down to suit children, to prevent falls caused by sudden stops. To ensure perfect riding comfort, Puky’s designers have fitted a specially developed saddle and a height-adjustable Ahead stem, allowing for a personalised riding position.
The PUKY LS-PRO 16 is suitable for children aged 3 and over who are at least 100 cm tall. Included with the LS-PRO 16, alongside the side stand and bell, are the well-known PUKY safety handlebar grips and a set of reflectors. The cool HEBIE Chainlooper not only saves weight but also protects against fingers getting caught in the drivetrain and keeps out dirt.

Puky’s children’s and young people’s bikes are dispatched ‘partly assembled’. This means that all you need to do is turn the handlebars in the direction of travel and fit the pedals. All other components are already fitted and adjusted ready for riding.

All our CYKE models feature a high-quality aluminium frame, as well as other weight-optimised components such as handlebars, cranks and rims.
CHILD-FRIENDLY ERGONOMICS – FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION
Children have a narrower field of vision than adults, meaning they can only perceive their surroundings within a limited angle of vision. This limitation poses risks, particularly in areas close to traffic. For this reason, it is particularly important that children sit as upright as possible on their bikes. Only a relaxed, upright posture enables children to perceive their surroundings optimally whilst cycling and thus provides the basis for safe riding behaviour. PUKY® takes into account appropriate adjustment ranges for the individual growth phases, thereby ensuring a long service life. As children’s centre of gravity lies in the upper half of the body – unlike that of adults – it is also particularly important to design the frame geometry in such a way that the children’s bicycle offers particularly balanced handling. The child-friendly positioning of the bottom bracket and the optimal distance between the saddle and handlebars are further key factors in achieving a frame geometry suitable for children.
STANDARD AND CHILD-FRIENDLY V-BRAKES
In the LS-Pro models, Puky uses standard and child-friendly V-brakes. These provide good braking performance and ensure optimum modulation of braking force, so that the rider can come to a safe stop. Unlike conventional V-brakes, they prevent falls caused by excessive, abrupt braking.
THE PUKY SAFETY SET – STAYING SAFE ON THE ROAD
The PUKY Safety Set has always ensured safety on the bike and whilst riding. The set consists of a handlebar pad, a bell, safety handlebar grips, front and rear reflectors, plastic edge protectors on the front mudguard, child-friendly, non-slip pedals with a third reflector, and a closed chain guard that protects children from reaching into the drivetrain.
