They deliberately avoid using animal insulation such as feathers and down and instead rely on natural or synthetic fibers. In close cooperation with FLOCUS™, they use plant fibers from the kapok tree, which are ideal for padding and also prove themselves in T-shirts thanks to their unique properties. This project with FLOCUS™ is particularly close to PROTECTIVE's heart and underlines their commitment to sustainable and animal-friendly production.
TECTRON
The recycled material is further enhanced by TECTRON technology and offers additional environmental benefits:
- gives non-biodegradable material a second life
- reduces waste and therefore reduces toxic emissions from incinerators
- Recycling PET bottles into rPET yarns consumes approx. 59% less energy and reduces CO2 emissions by 32% compared to conventional polyester
