Product information "SCORPION™ SmarTUBE Lite Tube"
The Pirelli SCORPION™ SmarTUBE Lite has been developed for modern MTB use, from XC to Enduro, and combines low weight with high efficiency. Compared to the standard SCORPION™ SmarTUBE, it is significantly lighter and thinner, which reduces rotating mass and improves the bike’s responsiveness.
At the same time, the lower rolling resistance ensures a faster, smoother ride and saves valuable energy on long trails. Thanks to its compact pack size, it is suitable both as a performance upgrade and as a space-saving spare inner tube for when you’re out and about.
Note: TPU is a plastic material that does not spring back to its original shape when subjected to extreme deformation – unlike butyl, which shrinks. TPU always requires a counterforce – in this case, the carcass – to retain its shape. Therefore, when fitting the inner tube, you should inflate it slightly (to a maximum of 0.3 bar) and then fit it with the tyre.
