The Pirelli CINTURATO™ SmarTUBE Lite has been specially developed for modern gravel and endurance off-road bikes and combines low weight with high efficiency. Compared to the standard model, it is significantly lighter and thinner, which reduces rotating mass and improves the bike’s responsiveness.
At the same time, the reduced rolling resistance ensures a smoother and more efficient ride on long journeys. Thanks to its compact pack size, the SmarTUBE Lite is ideal both as a performance upgrade and as a space-saving spare inner tube for when you’re on the go.
Note: TPU is a plastic material that does not spring back to its original shape when subjected to extreme deformation – unlike butyl, which does shrink back. TPU always requires a counter-support – in this case, the carcass – to retain its shape. Therefore, when fitting the inner tube, you should inflate it slightly (to a maximum of 0.3 bar) and then fit it with the tyre.
