Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Frame-size in cm: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.61. Frame size in inch: multiply your Inside leg length by the factor 0.24.If the theoretical value lies between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- Rather the smaller frame size when riding sportsmanlikely
- Rather the next frame in size when riding tour-orientated
- Deduct approx. 5 cm (or 2 inches respectively) of the theoretical size when using spring-mounted seat posts.

Technologies
Carbon XC 12
Extremely stiff when pedaling, thanks to the full carbon insert in the pedal area, but also ideal for long distances, thanks to the extra flex in the midfoot area. Designed with TPU inserts at strategic points to ensure high traction and excellent abrasion resistance.
S.L.W.2
Maximum precision and ease of use. The side control button offers two functions: simply press the button for gradual opening - or lift the button to open the shoe completely at once. The ergonomic design of the closure is adapted to the natural shape of the foot. For added comfort with minimal height and weight. The outer elastic cover provides easier and better operability. The special rope used takes advantage of the best technologies from sailing and can be easily replaced in case of failure.
BioMap Unibody
Reduces conventional seams for greater comfort and lighter weight: not just an idea, rather our dogma! This is exactly why Northwave is a pioneer in hot gluing processes and their application in unibody upper constructions. Thanks to Biomap Unibody technology, we can process thinner-walled and therefore lighter materials while reducing the number of seams. The result is a perfect anatomical design that hugs the foot like a second skin, ensuring a tighter, more consistent fit.
Integrated Heel System
The new construction of the upper allows to integrate an efficient heel retention system inside the structure, without the need for external elements. Same efficiency, reduced weight.

Very good shoes for the price, The NW "boa" is a bit different but you lern fast and it holds well. they could easily cost a bit more. + Free and fast shipping. Top

Passt perfekt in 1 Nummer größer(46).

Agree with the comment above. Rigid, uncomfortable textile, presses on top even if it is not tight. It can become painful during one of the "boa" contractions.
Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars
