How is your bike shipped?
Before shipping every bike is assembled and adjusted by our mechanics. With a minimum effort and just a few steps you will be ready to start riding. We adjust all technical settings for the gear system, brakes, drive, suspension fork and headset according to a detailed assembly-checklist. Every bike comes with a detailed installation guide highlighting every step of the assembly at all times.
Step by step: Bike-Discount assembly process
1. Adjusting the gear
A perfectly set gear is necessary to be able to accelerate in every situation. Our mechanics will set your gear so you will be able to rely on it and shift gears no matter what, regardless if you have a chain gear or gear hub.
2. Adjusting the brakes
Rim brake or disc brake – Your safety is our priority! We will eliminate loops and make sure your bike comes to a halt.
3. Adjusting the suspension fork and damper
We will check suspension fork and damper for proper functioning.
4. Drive control
We will check the interaction of bottom bracket, crank and chain. An impeccable drive will give you the best power transmission and a reliable acceleration of your bike.
5. Setting up the headset
To ensure perfect steering, we will ensure a optimally adjusted headset.
6. Tightening of all screws
During assembly all screws are checked and tightened with the corresponding torque.
7. Checking the tire pressure
We will pump up the tires to the recommended pressure. You will be able to start riding immediately and the wheels and tubes are protected during transport.
8. Noting down the frame number
The frame number is a clear identification of your bike. After receiving your bike, please note the frame number on the attached checklist. In case you will ever need it you will have it readily available.
Once all steps are completed, we will prepare your bike for shipping.
9. Delivery
Our customized bike box will ensure the protection during shipping. With our logistic partner DHL Freight your bike will arrive safely and quickly at your home. With a little help of our instruction you will be ready to ride in just a few steps
