The welded Maxtal rim with 25 mm inner width and hookless profile is light, stable and perfect for tubeless tires - for more traction, control and puncture resistance.
24 double-butted spokes provide dynamism and stiffness, while the Infinity hub platform delivers precise performance. With the reliable ID360 freehub system, the Crossmax rear wheel is durable, easy to maintain, and ideal for ambitious XC riders. The Crossmax name remains synonymous with strength, speed, and reliability.

- Maxtal aluminium alloy - Light and strong. Exclusive to Mavic, this specific aluminum alloy offers a higher strength to weight ratio than conventional 6106 alloy.
- Instant Drive 360 freehub technology - The new Instant Drive 360 freewheel system is super light and efficient. A large contactless rubber seal provides low friction, while a wide array of end caps makes it super versatile.
- UST tubeless technology - Traction and control. Universal Standard for Tubeless. Ready to ride tubeless system. The UST concept improves traction, control and comfort whilst reducing inertia and flats.
- SUP welding technology - Soudé Usiné Process, stronger and smoother joint. After bending, the rim joint is arc welded. The welded seam is then milled for a smooth finish.
- Infinity hub design - Efficient power transfer thanks to optimised non-contact spoke lacing (no noise under load) and tension distribution. The length of the spokes at the front and rear is identical. Maintenance is easy thanks to a tool-free solution.
- QRM Auto bearing preload technology - Qualité de Roulements Mavic Auto. Those cartridge bearings are of course double sealed with C3 internal clearance. Their preload is automatically adjusted to guarantee a perfect spin with no play on the long run.
