Calculate frame size
The right size of your hardtail mountain-bike:
The Inside leg length is multiplied by 0.226 and thus you get the theoretical value of the frame size in inch. One inch equals 2.54 cm.
If the theoretical value is in-between two sizes, the following rule of thumb can be applied:
- choose the smaller size when riding athletically
- choose the larger size when riding tour-orientated
How to determine your Inside leg length:
The Inside leg length or stride height is the length of the inside of the leg. The most accurate way to measure your stride length is to use a spirit level and a tape measure or folding rule. Stand barefoot on a flat surface, clamp the spirit level horizontally between your legs and measure the distance from the upper edge of the spirit level to the ground. This value corresponds to your stride length.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame height based on your height, see the table below. However, the method using inseam length is more accurate.

Product information "CX20R-X Wide - Road Bike Shoes"
The CX20R was developed for riders looking for a particularly lightweight, breathable and customisable road cycling shoe. Thanks to its minimalist design, it is ideal for hot summer days, intensive training sessions and indoor cycling.
Ultralight racing shoe with maximum breathability: the CX20R from Lake
The CX/TX Race last has a narrower toe box, a narrower heel and a lower overall volume than other Lake lasts. This creates a sporty, snug fit that has been specially developed for high cadences. The wide version offers an additional 15 mm more volume in the ball of the foot for more comfort for wider feet.
The handmade Lake Race sole made of 100% carbon fibre ensures maximum stiffness and direct power transmission. The sole is compatible with a 3-hole cleat system and supports efficient pedalling during intensive rides. The upper material made of Clarino microfibre and highly breathable mesh combines low weight with high ventilation. Despite the minimalist construction, the necessary stability is maintained to guide the foot safely. The durable and replaceable laces enable a particularly precise and customised fit.
