More flexibility in mounting
The HERO13 Black has 3 mounting options that make it more versatile than ever. The new Magnetic Latch Mount makes it quicker and easier to switch the camera from one mount to another. Use the built-in mounting fingers to securely attach the camera to GoPro mounts when you need a permanent mount in harsh conditions. The 1/4-20 thread can be used with tripods and other standard camera accessories.

HLG HDR Video
The HERO13 Black takes its best-in-class image quality to the next level with the option to record in Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), a standard HDR format used by professionals to capture 5.3K and 4K video in 10-bit and Rec. 2100 color space. This advanced feature requires a compatible display and media player for playback. Users can still record videos with HDR without HLG for playback on standard screens and media players.

Widescreen, vertical and full screen recording
You can do more with the HERO13 Black's powerful 1/1.9" image sensor. Choose widescreen recording (16:9 aspect ratio) for full-screen playback on a TV or vertical video (9:16 aspect ratio) for posting on social media. The full screen option (8:7 aspect ratio) offers a 156° field of view that can later be cropped to create widescreen and vertical shots for maximum versatility.

10-bit color + log encoding
The HERO13 Black gives you the choice between recording standard 10-bit video and 10-bit log encoding with GP-Log. The 10-bit color encoding can display over 1 billion colors and offers improved color depth, smoother gradations and more realism in your videos. Advanced users can use GP-Log to get more detail in their footage while making necessary image corrections in post-production (a lookup table/LUT is included).

GPS + performance sticker
GPS automatically captures telemetry data that can be overlaid onto your video as animated graphics using the GoPro Quik app. This allows you to visually display your speed, path, terrain, altitude and G-forces, giving your videos an intense, professional feel.
