Highlights
TCR Advanced 1
Newly integrated components such as the Contact AeroLight stem ensure a sleek, aerodynamic profile. The Variant seatpost offers just the right amount of give for a balanced, race-ready ride. Thanks to generous tyre clearance (up to 33 mm) and smooth-rolling wheels, you’ll be flying along on both smooth and uneven roads.
System-optimised
The frameset, wheels, cockpit and other components have been designed, developed and tested as an integrated system. The new Contact AeroLight stem enables integrated cable routing, combining the top cap, cables and spacers in an aerodynamic and user-friendly setup.
Outstanding efficiency
With an improved stiffness-to-weight ratio compared to the previous generation, a new aero tube design and reduced overall weight, this road bike delivers explosive acceleration and uncompromising pedalling stiffness.
Holistic Aerodynamics
All tube shapes have been developed using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and wind tunnel testing. From the truncated elliptical shape of the frame tubes to the redesigned cockpit – every detail contributes to a sleeker profile and significantly improved aerodynamics.
Giant Variant Carbon Seatpost
The patented seatpost offers the perfect balance of low weight, aerodynamic performance and flexibility. It allows for easy installation and precise adjustment for optimum riding comfort.
Aerodynamic Handlebars and Stem
The lightweight handlebars and stem are aerodynamically shaped and feature a flat handlebar top with raised edges for a stable aero position. Internal cable routing further improves aerodynamics and allows for easy adjustment.
Internal cable routing
The frame, handlebars and stem feature integrated cable routing, which ensures a clean, tidy appearance whilst optimising aerodynamics.
Elliptical tubes
Strategically developed profile sections in the frame and fork – based on CFD and wind tunnel tests – improve aerodynamic efficiency and significantly reduce drag.
MegaDrive
A generously sized down tube and top tube ensure outstanding lateral and torsional stiffness of the front wheel. The precisely engineered, rectangular-shaped down tube offers exceptional steering precision and optimum power transfer.

Technologies
Advanced Composite Technology
GIANT’s high-performance carbon fibre is used to manufacture this specialised carbon frame material, which is woven and processed in-house and boasts an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle is moulded as a single piece. The modified monocoque construction eliminates the outer woven composite layer. This reduces weight without compromising ride quality, stability or stiffness.
Compact Road Design
The Compact Road Design was introduced in the 1990s by GIANT in collaboration with the professional ONCE team and revolutionised the look of high-performance road bikes forever. A tapered top tube creates smaller front and rear triangles for a lighter, stiffer bike. It makes it easier for riders of all sizes to find the perfect fit.
PowerCore
The PowerCore bottom bracket shell is another feature that contributes to Giant’s high frame stiffness. The wide seating of the bottom bracket cups and the strong connection around the MegaDrive down tube increase frame stiffness.
OverDrive Aero
The D-shaped steerer tube and matching spacers are located within the head tube of the brand-new Propel range, offering an extremely aerodynamic, easier-to-maintain system with internally routed brake and gear cables.
Tubeless System
Fewer punctures. Better traction. Lower rolling resistance. GIANT’s Tubeless System makes fitting easier and ensures an even more enjoyable ride.
