With the new Tacx NEO 3M high-end indoor trainer, you will experience a fascinatingly realistic riding sensation. Multidirectional movements improve your riding experience! The integrated motion plates enable longitudinal movement forwards and backwards, which gives you the same feeling as when riding outdoors. Thanks to the new frame design, the lateral movement of the trainer to the left and right has also been improved, which is particularly beneficial when riding in the saddle. The unique and powerful NEO technology with magnetic motor brake and virtual flywheel offers innovative functions and advantages: No belt is required, eliminating a source of noise and a critical wear part. NEO series trainers do not require an external power source as the motor brake works in a similar way to a dynamo. For Road Feel1, the neodymium magnets of the brake unit are individually controlled while riding to simulate surfaces such as cobblestones or gravel. In addition, the motor brake can be used to drive the trainer, allowing NEO series trainers to simulate downhill riding2. This helps you when riding in virtual worlds, as you don't have to pedal when going downhill. Multidirectional movement
Thanks to the new frame design, the lateral movement of the trainer to the left and right has been significantly improved. In addition, the integrated motion plates, which can also be deactivated, move forwards and backwards in a longitudinal direction. The Tacx NEO 3M offers an unprecedented and realistic riding experience in all directions that are relevant for cycling.
Design
The revised design of the indoor trainer offers a secure stand even during intensive training and the integrated carrying handle helps to store the trainer after the indoor unit. The stop bushes for mounting the bike frame have also been revised to make it easy to fit bikes with thru axles or quick-release skewers.
Low noise
NEO technology dispenses with an additional belt, which makes trainers in the NEO series particularly quiet. Another benefit is that the absence of a belt eliminates a critical wearing part.
No power source
Because the motor brake works like a dynamo, you generate the power to use the trainer's features yourself. Another advantage is that you can position your indoor trainer independently of power sockets.
Road Feel
To make your indoor training sessions even more realistic, interesting and therefore more entertaining, indoor trainers in the NEO series can simulate different surfaces.
Downhill simulation
With conventional trainers, you still have to pedal when going downhill in virtual worlds so that the software receives movement information. Not so with NEO series trainers. As the motor brake can also be used to drive the trainer, downhill simulation is possible.
Accurate measurement & high performance
The measuring accuracy of <1% has been further improved in the NEO 3M compared to the NEO 2T and is now available over a wider power range. With a maximum simulated incline of up to 25% and a maximum power of 2,200 watts, the indoor trainer is ready for any indoor experience.
Pedal stroke analysis
Improve your pedal stroke with live feedback on your pedaling behavior. Only available in the Tacx Training Desktop App for Windows.
Cassette
The Tacx NEO 3M comes with an 11-speed cassette that is compatible with 11-speed SHIMANO and SRAM groupsets.
Network adapter
You can use the optional Smart network adapter to connect your indoor trainer to the indoor training software via Ethernet (LAN cable). This can have advantages if there are problems with the BLUETOOTH® or ANT+® connection or if several trainers are used in one room - for example in virtual competitions.
Tacx Training App
With the training app for smartphone, tablet or computer, you can complete targeted training sessions, ride real routes with the Tacx films or complete rides with WorldTour teams. A free 3-month subscription is included.
