The G.TRAIL+ WIDE is the wide version of the G.TRAIL+ shoe and was developed for cyclists who need more space in the forefoot area. It is an entry-level MTB shoe that is suitable for riding on trails as well as for adventures off the beaten track and is perfect for indoor cycling and spinning workouts.
Every shoe starts with the last. For this reason, Gaerne has developed a range of fits that are precisely tailored to the anatomy of the foot, the pedalling style and the needs of each cyclist. This shoe features the G.COMFORT FIT WIDE fit, which enlarges the forefoot area for a roomier and more comfortable fit without sacrificing Gaerne's signature stability and support. The microfibre material is perforated to optimise breathability and improve ventilation, keeping your feet cool and dry throughout the ride. Inside, the shoe is equipped with mesh to provide lasting support for the foot and increase stability.
The closure system with the micro-adjustable BOA L6 ensures a consistent and secure fit without pressure points. The COMFORT FIT tongue features high-tech padding for improved comfort and breathability. The INTEGRATED NON-SLIPPING HEEL CUP provides more foot stability and control for an improved riding experience. EPS insole with anatomical support for comfort and efficient pedalling. The MTB 2DENSITY SOLE is a sole specially developed for mountain bike enthusiasts. Made from a blend of nylon and fibreglass materials, it offers a remarkable balance of durability and lightness. The tread pattern has been carefully developed to ensure optimum grip and stability and is characterised by excellent resistance on different terrains. Two removable lugs in the front improve traction, especially on challenging and muddy terrain.

MTB 2DENSITY SOLE
From the Gaerne research and development department comes the brand new "MTB-2density-sole" especially for mountain bike shoes. The nylon and fibreglass construction makes the sole light, stiff, thin and resistant. The design of the tread ensures the best grip and excellent stability on any terrain. Two removable spikes increase traction in muddy terrain.
BOA L6 FASTENING SYSTEM
The patented "BOA L6®" fastening system consists of twist fasteners with stainless steel pulls that enable unrivalled fine adjustment. The combination of these elements allows the rider a perfect fixation of the foot with no pressure points. The absence of Velcro fasteners maximises air circulation in the forefoot.
COMFORT FIT TONGUE
The tension-covering tongue is perforated to improve air circulation. It is also padded with a soft lining to provide the foot with unrivalled comfort.
TRANSPIRANT INSOLE
The insole is anatomically moulded for optimum comfort. Micro-pöros for good ventilation. Replaceable.
HEEL CUP
Improved anatomically moulded heel cup made of non-deformable plastic. The heel cup provides a firm hold, is non-slip and stabilises the tendons. Reflective inserts on the back ensure better visibility in low light conditions. Air inlets improve temperature equalisation.
